Meals to Freeze (Ideas Inside)

Hi everyone,

My husband and I have been on a fervent search for meals we can make and freeze. My hubby is a fabulous cook and has even asked me why I want to do this whole freezer meal thing. I told him that it was to take some of the burden off him because he's going to be doing housework, laundry, getting DD off to school, picking her up, helping with homework, caring for me, etc.

I just wanted to give a few ideas that we've found (only 3 so far), made and have in the freezer. I don't think I am allowed to post outside link to these recipes. But these are easily found via Google.

Also, my friend gave me a recipe that at first sounded completely bland. But it was soooo good. Had it last night. Now have some in the freezer, minus the noodles.

In a large crockpot combine:
2 cans Cream of Chicken Soup
1 large Box of Chicken Broth
1 stick of real butter (sliced)
Add 3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (whole)
Cook on low 8 hours then add 1 bag of egg noodles and cook for one hour more.

I made something similar to the crock pot one (had powdered Italian salad dressing), cream cheese and cream of Mushroom soup, we served it on rice. It was very good and the whole family (picky eaters included) loved it. Not sure if it would freeze well after adding cream cheese but very yummy (a little salty though)

I've got lots of Amy's frozen dinners and bowls in the freezer and I'm lucky enough to have a very good on-line grocery service with lots of pre-made healthy meals that can be delivered to my door. As I'm a single mom with an 8 y/o boy this is a great service if you don't have the support like you have Missaboo.

Good luck with your surgery and prep. I'm in the final stages. Just had the final meal before surgery tomorrow. Pushing fluids until midnight and then that's it.
