Bowel Resectioning/Involvment

Has anyone out there had excess bowel involvment or needed bowel resectioning? The involvment I think I have may require one I suspected for over 10 years that I may need one. I am scared, scared enough of the complications that can happen with involvment, I am sitting on my balance ball crying as I write this. Doc is prepared for the worst, but expecting the best. Should I have a will made out, or give someone Medical Durable Power of Atty?

Sweety....calm down first and take a deep breath. I have had two bowel resections both went great. It wasn't a walk on the beach but it really wasn't too bad. The first was solo and the second was done when they did my TAH/BSO because the ovary was attached around it. It is always a good idea to have a will and a power of attorney but not because you are going to need them but because it is one less thing for you to stress out about....you won't go into surgery with the thoughts of ...I should have. I'm sending you big hugs, prayers and lots of support.
