Miralx bowel prep anyone? My Castle visit is FRIDAY!!

Well, I have been pretty busy this week running around trying to get things packed, house de-cluttered and cleaned, and hoping the bowel prep goes better than my last time. I have also been "in hiding" as much as possible because 3/6 kids have been sick with the flu. So far me and my husband are okay, and I only have 2 more days until surgery so that is good. Anyway, I do have a question in regards to the Miralax bowel prep. Has anyone ever used it? Did you have a reaction (like a severe migraine) and what time did you start drinking it in the afternoon. I had a colonoscopy in December and used Colyte for my bowel prep and it made me so sick. I got a migraine from it right away that lasted until after surgery, and I had to run to the bathroom nearly all night. I could only drink 60% of the stuff, but my procedure still went okay.
That doctor told me to get started drinking at 4pm, and my current OBGyn told me to start with Miralax at 3pm. Is there anyone who started taking it earlier. I also am suppose to take 4 Dulcolacx tablets before I start the Miralax. I am getting ready to begin my liquid diet and I guess I should get some shut eye for now. God bless you all sisters-this site is awesome and I am thankful for each of you! Robyn
PS.....Don't forget to do something SPECIAL for yourself before surgery....mani/pedi, hire house cleaners, plant a flower garden that you can enjoy post surgery, etc!!!

Re: Miralx bowel prep anyone? My Castle visit is FRIDAY!!

Hey southerngal! I did a Miralax/Ducolax bowel prep a couple years ago for a colonoscopy and I had no side effects from it at all. No headaches, no cramping, nothing! It went about as well as you can hope for I guess you could say! I am doing the same prep for my surgery, and my instructions are not to start until 5:00 p.m. All the best to you tomorrow, and good wishes for a speedy recovery!
