Bowel Prep

My surgery is March 31st and I had my preop with my gyno last week. I specifically asked if they did one and she said no. However, I did not specifically ask if I do one before the surgery. I have my pre-op testing at the hospital next week so I will ask then.
I had to have my pelvis screwed together due to a car wreck in November and the pain pills made my bowels just stop for 8 days. I know it is gross but I had to have it manually extracted before I left the hospital. It had gotten so impacted from not moving and the drs had me on stool softners and mirelax (sp) multiple times a day. It was like my guts were just dead.
Even now, 4 months later, they are not as normal as they once were. Knowing this, I think I will be cleaning myself out pre surgery no matter what they say
