What I should pack to wear home from the hospital?

I wore the same thing home as I did coming in - loose sweat pants, long sleeve t-shirt and my powder pink crocs (which doubled as slippers for walking around the hospital, which they strongly recommended as soon as I could get up).

I also took my mp3 player for some nice music during the night when I couldn't sleep, my pink fuzzy robe to wear around the hospital (to hide the hideous gown), and some oversized cotton undies. I brought a couple of nightshirts that I didn't wear since I was only there one night.

i wore a lightweight jogging suit and my crocs (which doubled as slippers at the castle)

I am wearing a Jogging suit up there and planning to wear it home but I have also packed a new pair of cute PJ's that I can wear and not look retarded.

Sounds like everyone stayed only for one day in hospital. Im having vaginal hysterectomy w/laparoscopy on Monday Feb 25th and Dr. sd I don't get out until Wednesday if all goes well, and Thursday if he does have to do TAH... Has anyone stayed this long?

My Dr. told me the exact same thing and I am having the exact same thing as you.

Staying in the Castle till Wed. unless there are problems.

I wore my PJ's, my very warm bathrobe, socks,
and slippers for my ride home.
I was so glad that I ready to climb into bed when I got home.
In addition to a seatbelt pillow, I sat on a pillow for my ride home.

Okay I have been avoiding those Crocs (no offense I have a lot of "issues" with feet and shoes, lol) but reading all these posts, I am starting to think that might be the way to go...

Those of you who have them - are they easy to walk in? I have never worn a pair of clogs or other "backless" shoes in my life and am the fussiest person on earth when it comes to shoes. I also have small feet (4 1/2 U.S. size, 35 Euro.). Talk to me about these Crocs...I have to say I do like all the crazy colors they come in.

I saved myself some packing and just wore the same thing home as I wore to the -- a loose-fitting dress and slip-on shoes.

I too wore home the same thing that I wore to the hospital. My fleeace jammie bottoms - a long sleeve cotton jammie shirt and my hippo slippers. I figure if the kids can go to the mall this way, I can go to and from the like this.

bear92 - my told me that I would be staying 2 - 3 days. I was actually there for 5. I had a TAH.

Cathy in Boston ---- I told myself I will NEVER wear Crocs.....Hehehe. So what did I buy after reading all these posts. RIGHT - CROCS because the vacume cleaner ate my new slippers I got last week. They are so comfortable and glad I got them!
