Tigger, thanks for the hormone and mesh info!
i will not panic yet, but I am slightly annoyed that my Gyn INSISTS that ovarian function is uninterrupted, when my symptoms (and my own research) indicate otherwise.

Also, I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis- it just means that her thyroid will gradually (in fits & starts) decrease in function, and she will be dependent on thyroid replacement. Mine has gotten worse slowly over about the last 8 years or so, so they check the thyroid level twice a year and adjst dosage accordingly.

I think I should get the level checked now that it seems like everything ELSE is out of whack from this surgery.

Yea I talked to my insurance company and they are not dropping me because I've had 2 surgeries in the last year (under them). They did a review to be sure I had disclosed everything when I started with them in May and they determined all is well. GOOD! At least this time I don't have to pay as much as I did in Nov. She told me another $80 and they will cover me 100% until Jan 09 instead of me paying 20%. I said there is nothing left to break. LOL We have independent insurance due to DH having his own company. I've been impressed with this insurance! At least some good news for me, it has been a rough week.

Hey - How ya all doing
Have not been able to get to this site.
Last night we finally did it - everything went find - whew
I did wait so long and Dh was patient because I was so afraid. Silly me.
First thing DH said after was - he looked at me and said 'Are you going to tell the sisters?'
I giggled - of coarse.

Tomorrow I go for my 6 week at uro/gyn to check on the TOT/sling. Hoping everything is fine.

I've been feeling great but still tired - body is still recovering and I am listening. It only took me 47 years to listen enough to really slow down. I've turned down some events that I would love to go to but know in the long run it would wear me out.

I am having twinges and the odd kind of weird feeling and thinking maybe I still have a UTI. Did a pee test yesterday and will find out tomorrow,

I am taking a supplement called DIM (google it if you are interested) I find it relieves the intensity of hot flashes ( I really only have them at night) I take the supplement as recommended by my genetic cousellor but after reading about the product and how it can help menoapausal women I thought I'd throw it out there for you guys. Really, though since taking it my day time hot flashes which were minimal are virtually non existant and I was having intense night ones 4 - 5 a night and now I might have 2 -3 and they are not so intense.

Just thought I'd let you all know.

Leter I hope to have the luxery of sitting and reading through to see how you are all doing. I am praying you all are doing well.

I think about Kathy in Italy - sooo jealous.

oooo Tuna that Hashmooto's might be why you are feeling how you do.My daughter found alot of online info, then my friend who has it called us & insisted we make an apt with her endocrinologist who says it should be treated in steps until the function stops, surveying patients treated with low dose thyroid hormone showed less enlarging of the gland, & slower destruction.I'm unsure how that works since while it is under attack it can bounce from high to low,but the reading suggests giving a low dose to people with symptoms who still have functioning thyroids stabilizes them.
I can't belive your phychic gyn has decided you're ovaries are working I am sure I spelled that wrong it looks funny.Don't let you're symptoms go to far you have to much big stuff going on!

Last night must have been the night. I did too. After we had finished I told my DH I have to tell the ladies about this he just laughed. In the begining he picked on me for tell you all EVERYTHING! Then he switched to...ask the sisters if that is normal etc. In other words don't ask me about it he gets grossed out about girl stuff. Now he just says are you talking to the sisters I'll leave you alone.

I so tired now. I did a small walk with a friend and it wiped me out! I have to finish dinner. Good thing it is an easy dinner chicken salad sandwiches.

Has anyone else noticed that in an instant your energy is gone?
