Thrush due to HRT shortage? Change to a different patch?

Hi
I’m from England and we are unable to get Evorel 75 HRT Patches. I have been in on 75s for a few years and have been on 25s for about 3 weeks. Before my total hysterectomy I suffered with Thrush terribly and am currently have an irritation below again. By coming off the HRT due to stock levels within our pharmacies in the UK will this be one of the symptoms. Do you recommend using a different HRT patch which is available.
Your comments appreciated.

I've not had that problem but I have read that we can be more susceptible to urinary tract infections and yeast infections when our estrogen levels are low. If it were me, I would use whatever estrogen was readily available in the correct dose until I could get my usual prescription filled.

Hopefully the situation has improved.

Another common contributor to thrush, UTIs, and other infections down there is a bacterial imbalance, which can be addressed by taking a probiotic supplement specifically formulated for feminine health; you can also check your local health food store for products that are designed to be inserted directly into the vagina for targeted relief. Antibiotics in food can also contribute to a bacterial imbalance, so if you eat meat, poultry, eggs, or dairy products, look for antibiotic-free brands - it will say so on the label. Adding a cup of apple cider vinegar to your bathwater can help to keep these infections at bay by rebalancing your vaginal PH. Blow-drying your pubic hair after you get out of the tub can also help, because thrush fungi prefer a moist environment, and this helps to keep the area dry: other top tips in this category include wearing cotton underwear, "going commando" when going to bed, and swapping out moisture-trapping pantyhose for thigh-high stockings. Best wishes for beating these infections soon!

Re: Thrush due to HRT shortage? Change to a different patch?

I realize this is a little late and your issue/s may have been fixed by now, but I have found eating yogurt for the probiotics helps keep everything 'down there' healthier. If I have went awhile without eating Yogurt and happen to have any issues with itching, irritation, raw feelings...I put the yogurt directly on it. (I use plain or vanilla if I cant find plain) It seems to work faster as a topical and the cold soothes it. I use it generously when I do this and put a towel under me and just let it set on it. I have even slept with it on. I guess it depends on where you live too...I have no issues with any critters or pests so I dont have to worry about them feasting down there lol. Yes, I am blunt...life has made me blunt lol. Anyways, Yogurt is great for many issues with the vaginal area inside and out. Thats why its best to use it frequently even if just eating it. and thats my 2 cents.
