IBS Question... Levbid

I just filed the medication my Gastro gave me to help with the IBS pain. I am admazed by all the side effects of this medication. The Gastro said it may or may not help. I am just woundering if any other sisters have takin Levib for IBS. If so what where your results did it help? Did you have any negative side effects?

I am consered about the dry mouth because I am on the phones all day at work and already drink 4-6 bottles of water because it is so dry in there and the medication the Uro has me on causes me to be thristy.

Any thoughts on how well this medication works or what medications have worked to help with the IBS pain would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Sweety Tweety (new to this hole IBS & Lactose Intalrent issues)

IBS Question... Levbid

Sweety:
I'm not familiar with the Rx your doc gave you. It sounds like it might be an anticholinergic drug.
Do you have the Diarrhea kind of IBS or the constipation kind?

I was on that drug they took off the market for awhile. The bottle directions said to take one a day. that was WAY too much for me.
i ended up taking one every couple of days and it controlled the diarrhea.

you might be able to back off the dosage to a level where your symptoms are controlled, and you don't get the side effects.

i can't remember the name of the drug i tried, it started with an "L" and they took it off the market, and then quietly put it back on just this year.
