Help I really think I am losing it today

Debi,

It took me a long time to learn not to depend on anyone. This way you're not disappointed and if by some miracle they do help, you'll be happy.

I live alone and spent many days after surgery by myself. My daughters came when they could, but they have lives to live.

Everything will get done. Don't exhaust yourself before surgery because after surgery, you will be very tired.

Hi Girl! How the heck are you? I am sorry I have not been on for a few days I have been painting again and funny thing is that is how this thread got started. I hate painting but this time it was not all that bad. I finished today and boy am I glad. How is it going? Here not too bad. I am feeling a little better and the pain is not nearly as bad as it was. I guess I feel lucky not to be feeling bad right now. I am just hoping that it stays this way for a while. I hope that you are feeling better and that things are going okay. Let me know how things are. I have not started therapy yet. I am just a little nervous about it. But I know that I need to go but when I am not sure. Hey take care and let me know how things are going..... Talk to you tomorrow..

Char- I think that me being so independent is part of the problem with the ex. I'm a believer in being with someone just because you WANT to, not because you HAVE TO. He's more comfortable if you're dependant on him (not interdependant, but dependant)...I'm assuming he has insecurity issues.

Anyway....trying to get things done/and take care of myself. The house is coming along. Will probably not get finished, but I've dealt with that. Got my recovery room rearranged/spring cleaned last weekend, so I'm feeling a little more prepared. Not exactly having second thoughts, but wondering if I should put off the surgery until things settle down a little. Then I smack myself on the forehead and realize that dealing with the crazy periods (working on day 10 of this one - and that's with the luprin shot) and pain are not something I need to keep dealing with. Mom and daughter are still scheduled to come and help out - so all is well there.

WhoamI - glad you have your painting finished!!!

Sorry for not checking in sooner....thanks for your continued support. It really means a lot.

Help I really think I am losing it today

Hi girls,

Glad to hear from both of you. Had a little scare last week. I started bleeding, yes bleeding and I freaked out. I went to the dr. at 9:30pm and he found the problem. It's like scar tissue, but not, so he cut one out (OUCH!) and there is another one which I have to go back next week and have burned out. FUN! At least the bleeding stopped. It's just something that happened, but boy was I nervous.

Whoami,

Glad you finished your painting. Don't overdo. You sound so much better than in the past.

Keep it up. Therapy is awesome! I haven't cried in over a week, but that could be because I was so nervous about the other problem. Therapy can't hurt and if the therapist is good,
you will benefit. If not, leave and find someone you are compatible with.

Talk to you all later.

Have a great day!

PS I got a promotion and now I will start a new adventure.

I still feel better than I did before surgery, so it is worth it. Don't put it off. In the long run you will be glad you did it. You have us to rely on when you get home from the hospital.
What's normal, what's not.

No matter how hard you try you never will get done before surgery. Like me I tried my very best to get things done here at the house and get enough work for the children at school to last until my return to work and I just didn't get it all done and that bothered me very bad but I figured that it will be there when I recover and it was. So just don't try to overdo before the surgery like I did I think that had alot to do with my slower recovery. Okay girls I will talk to you later have a WONDERFUL Day and an even better tomorrow.....

Char - sorry to hear of your scare...be brave! Hope all turns out well next week. Congrats on your promotion!!! Hopefully you'll enjoy your new challenges.

WhoamI - I'm coming to grips with not getting everything done...mostly!

Still not sleeping well, but I think that's more a function of middle of the night hot flashes than anything else. Making calls to confirm final doctor appointments, pre-registering with the hospital and making sure that all the paperwork is in the right spots.....so general crazyiness. Starting to feel the "countdown" and (strangely enough) not going any more nuts than usual.

Have a good day all.

Thank you both for your encouragement. It's been great having you to talk to. We have to believe that everything will turn out to be good. I guess sometimes we have to go through a lot of **** to get to where we want to be or where we're supposed to be. I am going to give this work move a try. Believe me, it took a lot for me to make a move like this. I don't like change, but I needed to do this for myself.
