I Am on the Mend - FINALLY!

I apologize for not updating my sisters on the road sooner, it has been rest, rest, rest for me since my surgery last week... Well here is the skinny. I was told it would take about 20 minutes for them to adjust the sling and bring it down, and remove some scar tissue... Outpatient home same day.... WRONGO!! It took 2 1/2 hours, and I was admitted from surgery. I stayed one night in the castle with a foley and the teds stockings to keep me company.. Lots of lortab and all was right with the world... Luckily I had a great roommate, so I was not annoyed, since I was stuck in bed for the day. Apparently there was alot of scar tissue to remove, so it took longer, and he did more work than we thought I needed... But the end result thus far is that I am feeling pretty good... No more retention, urgency, and frequency. ... I saw him at post op today, and so far so good... He is happy with my recovery... I am really more tired and it is harder to bounce back from this than I thought... But it has only been 4 weeks since my laparoscopy surgery... So two back to back can wipe anyone... That is my update for now... Catch you all later.

I Am on the Mend - FINALLY!

Susie,
I'm glad the surgery went well and you are home and resting. Like a good should. Yes, surgery can wipe you out, so get lots of and when you're done resting, rest some more.

(((Susie))) I'm so glad to hear your surgery worked well for you. I understand the wiped out feeling, I'm two months post colectomy and still get really tired and sore sometimes! I hope you are being a model . You'll soon be good as new!
