Pre-Op Hysterectomy: Open House Chat Thread - Today Aug 11, 2019

Thank you sugarandspice! Yes, I also had a colposcopy done in April and had 3 biopsies taken. They all came back as precancerous, so I had the Leep done in May. The doctor was more aggressive than normal since we are done having kids, but unfortunately the precancerous cells went all the way through. It was either another Leep procedure or a hysterectomy. Even though I'm only 32, I opted for the hysterectomy as there was no guarantee the next Leep would get it all.

Do what you’re able, but try not to stress about getting everything just the way you want it. There comes a point where you have to let it go and know everything will work out all right. It’s important to spend some of your preparing time by preparing yourself physically and emotionally. You need to sleep, drink lots of water, clear your mind, and spend time with your family. Being well rested and happy helps put you on the best foot for your recovery.
