Abdominal hysterectomy??

Hi, I'm new to the site and have been reading and gathering info for several days. Thank you so much to everyone who has put this site together and contributed to this site. It has been wonderful.

Anyway... My questions is, if you had a c-section before do they cut in the same place if you have an abdominal hysterectomy? My doc says she would do it abdominal because I had 3 c-sections in the past. Also, I have scar tissue above my c-section scar which makes a hump that shows through when I wear a bathing suit or anything kind of fitted and I'm wondering if they can clean that up and get rid of the scar tissue so it will lay flat again? And can they cut a little bit of the skin out and give you a little bit of a tummy tuck? I'm sure that would be wishful thinking. LOL

Wanda, I had 2 previous c-sections and when my doctor did my TAH she cut my c-section scar out. She got rid of the existing scar tissue also. So in a sense I had a little tummy tuck. It did not make a huge difference but it did look better. I can not even see where she cut me. It looks more like a crease.

hi there..im 3 weeks post-op from a TAH..i had 2 previous c-sections,and my doc made my insicion in the same place as those c-section...bikini cut..im hoping this scar looks as good as the section ones did...they were barely even noticeable at all...but,i have lumps with this insicion all over it....so im not sure what that is.....sonie
