Re: Shhhh!!! Don't tell anyone!!

This is so refreshing! When I heard I had cancer, I figured out the schedule of recovery starting with the date I hoped my surgery would be. Figured the time off from work, the first hard weeks, a road trip with the family for our annual weekend, more recouping and then to be able to go to my schools graduation the end of May. So far it has worked out and I am being pampered, loved and have time for myself. I didn't think anyone else thought this way! Way to go ladies!

I love this thread I too have redone the guest room downstairs completely, hubby is downstairs hanging the new LED TV as we speak. I am so looking forward to not being the caretaker but being the one taken care of I am so nervous and emotional about tomorrow but the thought of doing nothing but being pampered is making it all worthwhile. See you on the other side my sisters!!!

Hi! I am doing very well. Still sore if I do too much but healing. My wonderful doctor said he got all the cancer and that I don't need any other treatments. He said he will keep an eye on me for the next 2 years because there is a 15% recurrence rate. How are you doing?

Praise God! That's wonderful news!! I am good. Ready to get this surgery over with and start the healing process. I am very scared, I have never had surgery before. I do have peace in knowing that Jesus has me in His hands! Blessings, Rena

Re: Shhhh!!! Don't tell anyone!!

I am having a hard time adjusting to not being at work even though prior to the surgery I was working many 12 hr days because of coaching in addition to teaching. Nevertheless, I am happy to be missing the end of year stress and trying to enjoy my down time. I have been reading and watching a lot of netflix. I was so tired all winter from being anemic and am looking forward to getting my mojo back.

I feel the same way! I cannot wait for the "vacation" part of it. I am scheduled for 7/8/2013 and don't get much time off at work so I will enjoy this as much as I can. I am also looking forward to being pampered by DH and my 2 kiddos Starting to gather DVD's and stocking my kindle for some "me" time. Best of luck to all of you

Best way to think! I left it all up to the good Lord and I have to say I was very calm thru the whole pre-op and when I headed into surgery, I was okay and ready. Don't be scared, it will all be okay. Take care!

Re: Shhhh!!! Don't tell anyone!!

I am home today and for me the worst part is getting up and down "ouchie" But I am now going to be a pampered princess thanks to all my wonderful family! Be well everyone and the power of prayer plays a big part. I could not void for the life of me after surgery and the doctor was going to cath me for the second time that night but a wonderful nurse came into the bathroom with me and held my hands and said a prayer for me and as we were there I finally went
