Just Not Ready...

Hello, My LSH surgery is scheduled for Dec 1st. I thought I would have the house in tiptiop shape and the freezer full of frozen dinners by now...NOT! I thought I would have bought my tummy binder...NOT! I just feel too tired to do anything. I was so confident up until about 2weeks ago and now I'm a bundle of nerves. I'm not sure how i'm going to make it through the next few days. Can anyone relate?

Right there with you. Looking at boxes of Christmas decor sitting on the floor and nothing ready. I have 11 days more wait behind yours and I can't seem to even start. No motivation. Maybe you're like me, a procrastinator, and your best work is at deadline, lol. Good luck, I hope you accomplish all you hope to. Best wishes for your surgery as well.

I think many are or were right here with you. I had surgery 11/21 & did not take Christmas into consideration at all! I go back to work soon & don't know when I'll have the energy to put up a tree, shop & wrap. I've come to the conclusion that I can only do so much. Our youngest (13 yrs) & 3 grandchildren will have wrapped gifts but the adult aged kids & family may learn to love gift cards this year. Do what you can knowing there will be some things not done. I was a crazy fool this weekend,
lucky hubby was away this weekend, I went grocery shopping friday early, came home put it all away, rested up a bit, then went to visit a few friends...
Saterday up at 4 am, fed and walked the dogs, went over and took care of my father in law,went to walmart and got gift cards, went to big lots got christmas and birthday cards, went to target and got a gift card, then home.. started cooking at noon and finished around 6 pm, meanwhile sneezing my fool head off~~~ called the dr and he said go ahead and take nyquil, that blasted it out of me. sunday went and picked up hubby at airport, came home made,cookies, fudge,dinner and swept and washed the floor, did a real early load of laundry and fixed the throne room all set for when I get home..
the hubby almost had a stroke when he saw me doing the floor and said ,you will have to do this next week too, told him dont think so 6-8 weeks, he freaked out, you said it was 2 weeks, I said no bending lifting for 6-8 weeks, the dr will have to fill him in on all that, I think he thinks because its robotic it wont be that hard and I will be up dancing a jig in a week

Hi, I am also having my LSH on Thursday, 12/1. I have a lot of thing left to do but my Mom got sick last week and has been in the hospital since but today she is moving to a rehab so I hope I can find some time to get my house in order. I just had my pre-admin appt. this morning and that went smoothly but now I feel that it is almost here and I am starting to get very nervous!! I just hope I can get everything I planned to do, done!! Good luck to you!! Hugs.

Silly hubby. Next thing you know he'll expect you to get him his slippers and make him supper. WHATEVER!!

I mentioned this to a few women earlier - you may want to talk to your Dr. about your husband's expectations and see if s/he will have a Dr. to caretaker chat with him while he's in recovery.
