Finally, I have a new date!

After 3 weeks of "investigating" my heart, including EKG's, thalium heart stress test, and heart cath, I have a new date for my surgery: May 24. Can't wait for it to be over and done! Whew!

Congratulations on setting the date!! I'm right there with you on May 24th. What time are you going in? I'm 7:30, first surgery of the day!! And it's my dr. first surgery after a week of vacation. Sure hope he doesn't forget anything!!

leaveitame, my surgery date is May 24 also if I can get cleared from the cardiologis. Have to have a stress test and an echo gram and see what those results are before he will clear me. Sure hope I can go ahead May 24 as I have made arrangements for that date.

lol kgilby, I hope it's like riding a bicycle, and the doc can never forget! I haven't been given my time yet. When it was scheduled for April 14, I was to be at the hospital at 5:30 to prep for the first surgery of the day. I hope I don't have to wait around all day, I'd love to be first!

Thanks for the update. I went back and read a couple of your earlier posts, since you hadn't mentioned in this post what had caused you to have to go through all those tests. While I'm awfully glad that they reconfirmed that everything was fine, I am sorry that they didn't obtain copies of your earlier EKG's to give them your background.

One thing you might want to do is to ask if there's a way that you can have a set of all of your EKG's, just in case you ever have to have any more surgery? I don't know if it's possible, but that way you would have them with you, and not have to rely on the doctor's office to get them.

I am soooo glad I'm first. Since I probably won't be able to sleep anyway the night before, it won't be hard getting up early!! And I won't have to wait all day starving and dehydrated. I hope you get an early time, too. Thank goodness all checked out with your heart!!
