At least for ME, I get bad cases of "winter blues". When the days are dreary and the stress of the holidays comes around, I get really depressed. Yesterday, I just crawled in bed in the middle of the day (I never take naps) and just cratered. I woke up with barely enough time to go pick up my son from after school programs, came home, made a pot of spaghetti and crawled back in bed again. I just feel so blah and wiped out. I really don't know what it would take for me to just feel happy right now.

I have zero energy which isn't helping the weight issue, which makes me feel bad which zaps my energy which makes me feel bad ~ is there a pattern here?

My weight has me freakin out too! I get to work & throw on a big shirt or sweat shirt (like I'm cold or something) to cover up my belly while I am sitting because I can't "suck it in!" It just sits there, I just went "soft," everywhere! Including the brain...I feel like I have aged 5 years in 5 months!

I haven't posted for a while. Its nice to see how everyone is doing.

I was doing so well with weight loss, 38 lbs since March, 25 lbs since surgery. But with the holidays, I have gained about 5 lbs. I was going to the gym almost every day but quit at the beginning of November due to a minor cancer scare.

Because my deductible for the year had been paid, I went ahead and had the dermatologist remove 2 small cysts. He assured me that these are almost never cancerous - just my luck, the one at the top of my head was cancer (extremely rare, they hadn't seen one in 18months). Everything is ok now.

Thank god for the hysterectomy, or I would have waited a while to have the cysts removed. DH is promising to go the gym with me as soon as the holidays start. I have a new workout program that should be ok even with all of the repairs. Once I make myself go a few times, it should be easier.

Well ladies, I'm proud to report a 3.8 lb loss this week! I've worked my fannie off for it, too! It's not ever been this difficult! But hey, I'll take what I can get! Any loss is a step in the right direction!

farmer68, I know what you mean about the holiday blues. I usually get them the day after Christmas....not really bad, but do get them. This year, it's not even Christmas and I'm dreading after Christmas already. I don't wanna know what it's gonna be like the 26th! Just try to keep yourself busy and try not to give in to it. That's what usually works for me. The busier the better. Remember the Reason for the season! Surround yourself with happy people, happy music, lots of presents, lights, sounds and kids!!! Again, just try really hard not to let yourself give in to it! I know it's hard...it's hard for me.

Ladies, we are so brave and strong....look what we've come thru in a relatively short amount of time and how well we're doing! We are each beautiful (no matter what the scales say) and strong women! We should each be very proud of ourselves for being the women we are! I've not ever met any of you personally, but I'm proud of what I know of each of you! We've all done amazing things in the last 5 months...my husband and I were just talking today about what I've gone through. My husband...big strong man (mentally and physically)....said to me, "If I ever have to go thru something similar to what you went through, just go ahead and knock me out way ahead of time 'cause I'll be a basket case!!" He doubts his ability to handle it! I'm so proud of the women that all of us are...we've found strength we didn't know we had and we overcame difficult circumstances.

I'll quit rambling now! Sorry I kinda went off....guess I'm feeling a little emotional!

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you have awesome holidays and a blessed New Year rich with God's blessings!
