Hugs to you and your family.

Yes I have the same thing with my hips. I f I do alot of walking they really bug me. I have never had sore hips before. I went for a walk around the bolck and half way down the next block and back. My legs were ready to give out. I think while you are under they do some funky positioning with your body. I bet they have fun adn try to see how flexable we really are while we're under!hehehehe

So I am in the shower and of course I have to pee AGAIN, so I jsut did, and I felt the wierdest pop in my lower belly. Almost like an air bubble by the utherea. And I have not had a BM yet! I am soo not looking forward to when I do.
Other than that, so far so good this morning!
Anyone else noticing stitches comeing out when you wipe? I have really tried not to look when I do, but some habits are harder to break!

True.....the position they put you in is ridiculous. They suspend your legs in the air. There are these giant stirrups that support your thighs. I STILL have numbness and tingling in my right knee from being in that position for more than 6 hours. My hips have gotten a lot better but when I first woke up that was the first pain that I remember. Luckily the hip pain is now gone. Just another one of those things that needs time. :::sigh:::

I had one come out of my rectum when I was two weeks out. Ewwwww.......now I'm 5 weeks out. I haven't noticed anymore from anywhere yet. However, my doc did take like 10 stitches out last week. Maybe that's why I haven't had any. I hear that it's normal though.

Week 5 and I finally feel like myself again. I have some energy returned and feel like doing a couple chores. Usually making my bed, pack the dishwasher and this morning I did a load of laundry!

I have even been out of my PJ's the last few days and get dressed in the morning. Makes you feel so much more normal.

I think I might just be okay by the end of next week and on schedule to return to work by the 1st!

Sending lots of good feeling vibes to everyone.

Have fun on here today!

Even though I can't do much else...for the last two weeks, I've gotten dressed everyday and made the bed, even though I am still more comfy reclinced on the bed. I did about three loads of laundry yesterday but by the end my mom had to do the bending to switch the loads. But I did fold everything. I also changed the sheets on my king-sized bed yesterday. I had to have my son tuck them in at the bottom but I did the rest all by myself. :-) I never thought I'd feel such an accomplishment just making the bed everyday but it does make a difference. The laundry was exhausting.

I think I'm going to get my pink yard today......if I get that uterus done today, I'll post a picture. :-)

LOL.....I'm just going to make one for my doc. I think she'll get a kick out of it. I also decided to make an afghan for her. I found a pattern of a pink one with the breast cancer awareness ribbons crocheted into it. I'm going to change it up a bit by doing it in teal which is the color for gyn-oncology awareness. Her husband is a gyn-oncologist in the same clinic so I think it would work. I tried to find a ribbon color for Urogyn but couldn't find one. So I think the teal will work. Besides....she's getting a uterus for her office! LOL

That is nice of you to make a blanket. You have sometime on your hands that is perfect. A uterus is way better than a blanket! LOL Your so funny!

[ I am thinking that, because you might be touring more slowly, you will have time to REALLY enjoy the sites, and savor the expereience - more so than if you were rushing everywhere, as we often do on vacations.
]

That's a really good point! I never thought about it that way, but you're right. Thank you - I really mean that. I thought about it and I can just imagine - my dh has adhd so he would have me whizzin past everything just to get to the pasta to fuel his next marathon! However, I'm a slower person anyway so this will definately slow him down as well.

dh is really excited - but I think for more than just Italy - we'll be travelling six weeks after my surgery!
