Is It Too Early for A Hysterectomy?

Thank you all for your encouragement. I really appreciate it. Had my pre-op appointment this morning, told my doc my concerns and she was like, ...."if you're not comfortable doing this yet, I think you should wait, BUT.......you have been dealing with this for a long time and I don't think you need to "justify" it to anyone, you've tried all the things we usually try for endo and it hasn't worked..........."

I DO feel better.

If you don't feel ready to proceed with the surgery, then don't do it, but don't hold off because of what others might say. If my sister had said to me anything like, "Keep your uterus," I would have said, "YOU can keep it, you're welcome to it!" It's not required that we go through a certain level of pain or inconvenience before we decide that the hysterectomy is due. It's a major surgery, for sure, but it doesn't have to be traumatic by any means. When anyone started to question me about why I was doing it, I just told them I felt lucky that I had this option available to me. End of conversation! It's not really anyone else that has pressured me, it's more me.....most of my family and friends have been very supportive. I do want to do this.....just having cold feet I guess.
