What odd or quirky behavior do your pets have?

I have a silly dog named Bruester ~ a cute little mut we adopted from a shelter. After he goes outside to do his business or after he wakes up, he runs to the living room and rubs his whole body down the length of the couch until he gets to end where he puts his head on the ground with his back still against the side of the coach and just sits there looking at us ~ upside down! (It's like he's a pretzel; not sure exactly how he does it!) Then of course, when you say something to him, he runs in figure 8's thru the living room and dining room until he's completely pooped!!! Its so funny!
He's also best friends with Liger, one of my 3 cats . Our daughter even performed a wedding ceremony for them. They're so cute ~ they sleep together, play together, and even bathe each other!! AAWWWHHH!!

I just had to share this as it is going on right now! I just brought in a handful of yellow sweet peppers from my garden. They are long and thin and curl up like a comma. My 1-year-old cat Oonagh began to pester me immediatly for one! A few weeks ago, I'd made the mistake of leaving a newly picked pepper out on my counter and I'd discovered her playing with it, but figured she'd been nosey to see what was on top of the counter, found the pepper, saw it was something small, etc...

I discovered one of my peppers is a little past ripe, so I finally handed it to her. Talk about a kid with a new toy! She carried it off in her teeth by the stem. She's been flipping it, knocking it around....my other cat wanted to check it out too, but Oonagh keeps snatching it away from her!

Oonagh had to get her rabies shot today. I swear, I can almost hear her think "I had to get a shot today, so I deserve a toy!"

Boy, is she ever like a human child!

Parker, my 20 lb cat also thinks he's a dog. He brings me my shoes! Doesn't matter where I hide them he finds them and brings them back out to the living area. Then he has to sleep on them! ~Anju

Our new cat, "Kira" has taken to mothering our yorkie pups ( much to the dismay of the puppies!! ) She watches them as they walk by her on the sofa, and ....... POUNCE!! the poor tiny things just lie helpless as she very puposefully licks and grooms their fur all over. She is vigorous but gentle unless they struggle impatiently. At this point the claw comes out and they are dragged under (sometimes with a SQUEEK!) there is no escape until she is quite certain her work is done. You would think after this happens maybe ten or so times they would catch on and steer clear?? I guess they all must like it??

Oonagh, my tortie cat, has suddenly began to splash the water out of the mutual water dish. She paws the water as if she were marking her territory (she does the same thing with bits of food she might find on the floor). I'm not sure if she is marking the water as her territory, or if she is trying to make the water "flow" as cats really prefer running water.

Anyone else have a spin po*per? It is a little icky, and yet really funny that my dog Cleo must spin as she relieves herself. It is almost as though she is scared of her rear-end!

I wonder how ancient societies survived without pets!

JoJo's way of playing is to kick ~ just like donkey! And Billy? He loves to run in circles and manages to build up enough speed to actually leave the floor and run up and along the wall ... honestly, I promise! We have to vacuum the carpet every day, by 'that' wall, as it's covered in bits of wallpaper ... the wall is wrecked!

My Mabb, her quirkiness isn't so noticeable, but whenever I am on the couch, not only does she want to cuddle up next to me, but she MUST lay on my arm! Kind of hard to read, crochet, well, you get the idea, one handed!

with our zoo we notice a few weid things,,our cats love spiders ..for get about calling hubby point it out and its gone in seconds...
out rat terrier thinks she is queen of the bed,,she will dig the top of the blanket till she finds the opeing and cover herself up.
our birds all have thier own thing,but our one african grey congo will lay on her back on the bottom of the cage and kick her legs like she is swimming or cant get up,but the minute you go check on her she jumps up and says .... stupid.....
