I am doing great in relation to the hysterectomy and just wanted to update where I am 11 weeks later...
I am taking 2 mile walks every day
I am doing yoga/pilates and not skipping the ab exercises anymore
I can vacuum again
I haven't mowed the lawn but I have never mowed the lawn
I feel empowered
I am 20 pounds lighter
I am friskier
It is a little hotter in the bedroom now that I don't say ow every 5 minutes
I am still having some problems sleeping but that could be anxiety from other events in my life.
Take care ladies!

Hey girls, if any of you have time would you mind taking a look at the letter I faxed my Doctor. I just want to make sure I am not stepping on toes. TIA!

I have been concerned about my thyroid as I am sure you can tell by my numerous calls in to Shari. I appreciate the care you have given me through all of my questions. One thing that troubled me is the amount of time I would have to wait to see Doc T. (August 20). I don’t think I can handle waiting that long so I decided to go online and look at other options. While online I found that the original Doctor I wanted is also an endocrinologist from the same hospital. Doc T is an endocrinologist that specializes in diabetes and Doc's B and N specialize in thyroid disease. However when you look at their credentials they are all three endocrinologists. I called Doc's B and N’s office and their nurse said they can get me in within the next three weeks and the majority of their referrals come from General Practitioners. Would you kindly consider changing me over to Doc B or Doc N for follow up on my thyroid? Please have Shari or Julie call me when a decision has been made. I haven’t been sleeping well as I am very anxious about all of this. I look forward to seeing you next Tuesday.

I get those twinges, but they seem to be getting less and less... and I tell myself its because those muscles start to return too with "exercise"!

Well written Flatfroggie! My monthiversary is the same as yours and I KNOW how much better I feel. My stamina is coming back but some days I do just wipe out entirely around 9:30. My hormones have leveled off since I kept the ovaries, but in general I think the swings that come cyclically are a bit less because the uterus itself produced some hormones and now that's gone. I do find that I get weepy every few weeks but it is SO wonderful to forgo the five week periods with a week and a half between and I can't WAIT to get back to my summertime activities which were drastically curtailed the last year. Woohooo for all of us!!!!

Hi! I start my new job the day after Memorial Day.... so about 4 weeks from now! I wanted to give 3 weeks notice from my current job since I"m involved in some pretty big projects and there isn't anyone else that knows how to do this stuff.... then I get a week in FL and get to start at the new place rested and fresh! And the really cool thing is with the new company, due to their regulations, I HAVE take a two week vacation before the end of the year! Here and I thought I'd have NO time left to take... and those two weeks have to be consecutive! So that'll be a big rest for me! Not sure what I"ll do since my DP only gets two weeks and she's pretty much used them, but I may visit my DS and maybe even spend some time up in ME on my own!

Bookah, I think that letter is very respectful and well worded and sounds like it comes from someone who is taking charge of their own care. Most docs would appreciate that. Hopefully you send it and they respond FAST! So you can get in to see a doctor before August! That would totally STINK in my mind!

Bookah - Very well written. I wouldn't change a thing. I am so hoping for your sake he takes care of this for you. If he still does not say yes never mind what I think of him you should mention to him the line I said about how would he feel if it was a member of his family. I can't believe you have to go through all this but again well done.

I am so glad to hear everyone is doing better. I have been getting not twinges but it feels like my incision is tight and pulling. Now that all of you have been talking about it I am wondering if it is the scar tissue forming from healing.

For everyone else I love the positive posts and I am so glad everyone is feeling better. I can't wait to get rid of my back pain and then I can join everyone for the long walks.
Everyone have a great evening!

Jayne - I am so sorry you are still not feeling well but I am glad it is not more serious than a kidney stone. I have what is called a spastic colon which is very similar to ibs and I was only around 21 when I got it but now over the many years (lol) it only acts up once in a while if I eat too much salad over a period of so many days or spicey food which I don't really like to begin with. So maybe once you have it under control you won't need medication for the ibs or is the medication they gave you for the kidney stone? How do they get rid of a kidney stone anyway? I think my father in law had one and they put him in some kind of bath. Talk to you soon and hope you feel better.

Hey ladies, I got the results of my CT Scan and everything was normal. All the right size in the right spot no fluid build up anywhere. That means the hematoma is gone but of course the only way to tell if the endo is gone and no adhesions is thru a scope procedure. I am going to follow up with my gastro and gyn to see whats ailing my bowels. If I don't like the outcome of my app't with my gyn I am going to go to another. The only reason right now that I will stay with him is because of the cost factor. I now have to pay 20% and a consult fee is more $$. Just had to tell you ladies what a relief. Bookah, I hope that you have luck with your letter and I hope it reaches the dr instead of the trash. It would not surprise me that staff would not ditch the bad stuff.
