Im 51, and I too have that same problem love my flip sandals but they caused problems, even my flats can cause huge back aches...so I broke down and bought some great looking sandals called Earth Shoes Women's Tranquil Vegan BLACK they come in all colors but the blk on blk keep cleaner looking always.. THEY TOOK a few days to get used to from the instep, the secret is they are a negative heel... and what ever that means, it works!!! after a few days for a few hours they fit like a glove and I am sold.. even got another pair from eBay for 20.00 bucks brand new, after paying my 99.00 for my original pain, I couldn't resist a pair for back up at such a good price. Good luck..

I had the same thing last week for a few days. (3 weeks after surgery). I called the doctor and they said it was normal but to call back if it continues or gets heavier. I go for my 4 1/2 weeks post op tomorrow. I'll let you know what the doctor says.

LOL but not ROFL, elefante. The lady who walks a bazillion steps a day says cooking takes too much energy??!! Hope you enjoyed the movie and had plenty of laughs. A friend gave me movie passes as a get-well gift -- how nice is that? Any recommendations out there? 2 1/2 days without pain killers and I feel grrreat! Only a couple of days ago (yesterday, maybe?) I said going back to work on the 27th was out of the question, but now I'm sure I'll be ready. I hope everybody else is seeing progress too. Have a great evening.

Well i got my work stuff ready to take back to the cafeteria with me for tomorrow. Boy it really seems like this summer went by so quick. And of course for the last month we really haven't done a whole lot. But for me having this hysterectomy and finally meeting some lovely ladies who definatley understand what i've been going through is the best thing that could of happened. For me this was my 4th surgery. My first was a dermoid tumor on the right overy and had that out when i was 8 yrs old. The second was a cyst on the left overy when i was 19 and had all but a little piece of the overy taken out. The third was precancerous cervical cells stage 4 and went in an had alot of the cervix removed and then lastly this hysterectomy everything gone. Thank the lord for that. Out of all that i still ended up with 3 beautiful children (grown now) and 2 of them are identical twin girls, the other the oldest a boy. I just thought i would share my story with you. Thanks for everything ladies.

Ladies, I am back from goldsboro, nc (about 3 hrs away) and enjoyed my uncle's 70th b-day party. I had some pain going and couldn't drive. Coming back, I had a pill in the morning and drove all the way back. Then I came back and went to the grocery store forgetting that I should've taken my son because of the shopping cart thing. The basket wasn't heavy though. I am having mild discomfort. He unloaded the few bags when I got home. I just took a pill. It seems like I can go a few days, then end up back on them once in a while. I take about 4-5 a wk.

Bopper, you are too right about elefante and her not cooking, but excessive walking.

Phil446, I will say a prayer for you. You will do great.
I am due to go back on Wed after my last post-op tuesday. I have really gotten lazy. Maybe, I won't be so tired when I get back to normalcy.

Hey, my trip was good to NC. I went for my uncle's 70th b-day party. It was in the church's fellowship hall and then we had the afterparty at the hotel's suite. All of the younger people were there and we had a blast. I couldn't do any driving going because I had to many twinges and was afraid. Coming home, I drove the whole way because I had taken a pain pill. It seems like I can't go over 3 days and then I need 1, then I get constipated again. Got home late this afternoon.

Relief, glad life is going good for you. You may be a supermodel soon.

Simply, good for you. Glad IT works still.

Thanks for your post. I just read it. It takes some time to catch up, if you don't be on for a couple of days. Yeah, my big O is a little O, right now anyway. BF and I tried on Thursday, Week 4 (TMI: oral) and I stopped him, because technically, I haven't been cleared. Some men are just as curious as women. Do you still need the fleet sup? I still haven't gotten them.

Ladies, anyone else suffering occasional constipation? Which is better the pill or the suppositories? Aside from that, I guess I will be sent to work after my last post op Tuesdays. We work 10hr days (off fri) in the summer.
