I had quite a bit of discharge from the beginning until 3and a half weeks. It gradually got less but at about the same time...I noticed a foul odor to it. So I had to go in. My Dr. did an internal exam to see if there was an infection. It hurt. I was in pain though before he did it from the cellulitis and infection that was causing some inflamation.
now i have almost no discharge, very scant and there is no color to it. I am all done with the antibiotic.

I also had an internal exam done at my 4 week check. I took 4 ibuprofen prior. It did not hurt anything like the one at 3 weeks

I did alot today. Went to spinning class in which I could only do a half hour, then I went on the eliptical for a half hour. Went and toured a college campus with my daughter. Went up and down stairs in every building! My daughter kept looking at me to see if I was alright.
I am pooped! My pelvic floor feels like it is going to drop to the floor
Time to sit down and rest for a while.

I do like the shoes! They are multifunctional though--they're Mary Jane Sketchers. Even though I'm teaching on-line this year, I was in awe last year of how wonderful my feet felt in them even at the end of the day. And they were especially comforting when I tried to break my foot by dropping my laptop on it. It was bruised badly, but the supportive bottom kept my foot from crunching, and that's all I could wear for about a month and a half, so I went and bought a second pair last spring.

Okay, enough about the Sketchers "ad." Wear whatever is comfortable to you! In any case, I know mine will get me through the fall chasing after the 3 year old.

On a side note, my dad was put in the hospital today because "they don't know what's going on yet." I'd go see him and support my mom, but it's a 2 hour drive and DH is working an overnight shift...We'll see how things progress--I don't think it's anything serious, but it doesn't help my mood swings to add that stress.

made it thru work

Ok had my first half day back at work today and felt really good. The ladies i work with put all the deliveries away and did all the heavy lifting for me. I kind of felt helpless cuz they really wouldn't let me do much at all. Although i did clean 3 cases of fresh cut up chicken. They lifted the cases into the sink for me. Then i did some paperwork after they left. Right now no pain, belly is a little swelly but not to much but will be changing into something with an elastic waist in a little bit though. I'll work tues. and wed. 5 hrs each day. Pretty much walking and standing the whole time. But i made it today anyways and feel good.

The way I describe it is like there's a big rubber band from one side of my pelvis to the other...tight and stretched. Sure not tight on the outside though. As for scars, I can barely see mine because it's hiding under my swelly belly.

Knittin, I'm so sorry to hear about your father. You certainly don't need the extra stress. I hope you get news soon, and that it's reassuring.

Went for post op today. He did a vaginal exam and it didn't hurt at all. He said that I am free and clear. Got to pick up and hold my son for the first time in over a month this afternoon. When I did, he gave me a big kiss. Sweet for a 7 month old.

debbiefej I know how you feel. I have many friends who have had fertility issues including myself. My best friend is going through her home study for adoption right now. We tried for years and finally were blessed with a little boy last year. We now call him our little miracle cause of course I will never have another biologically. It still hurts alot, and it's weird cause I am only 30. I know that one day we will adopt. People look at us and think, at least you have one, and I feel so very blessed, but it's like we are mourning the fact that we will not have a daughter or another sibling for him.

Steps Sometimes Backwards

Okay, Ladies. I'm checkin' in. It's five weeks today I had my surgery and was suffering MIGHTILY in the castle. OWIE. My body is remembering and celebrating with a TON of knots and twinges today and I am very very frustrated w/it. I got Dgd going this a.m. and folded laundry; drove her to daycare. Went to work for about 2 hours. Carried folders, pulled and pushed on doors, met w/a couple of teachers, left. Came home and cooked healthy foods. Ate. Walked four laps in VERY humid air. (that's 2 mi). Too hot to do more. Really swollen hands. Rested, did 2 more laps. Picked up DD and two other teens to deliver various places. Tried one more lap. My abdomen is knotted up a LOT. Now DD wants a ride to a place 10 miles away. NO NO NO I said. DD hasn't been home hardly since Saturday a.m. anyway. Or was it Friday?? Oy. So I'm frustrated. I know all the knots and pain are saying 'slow it down, lady.' However, I was making such NICE progress and aside from being quite tired, I have had no pain. I might have to pop iboprophen and to me that's defeat.......i haven't had any meds since probably July 18th or so. Ah, well. Hopefully I will feel happy and able to walk tomorrow. Rats.

Hoping you are all having a much less twingy evening w/no knots and lots of nice healing going on. Take care everyone. The days are numbered until I report back full time to work!
