Hi, yes would love to chat!! When are you due back to work?

I'm 47, married but no children and live in Bahrain. I haven't been able to find the chat forum online at all, must be my useless IT skills. My email is [email protected].

Glad you are doing well candle, are you feeling back to normal yet?

mad vacuuming

I love it, Capt Crunch: you get mad and start cleaning up! Thanks for sharing the aches/pains of yesterday. I was soooo frustrated. And yep, my belly gets pretty swelly by the end of the day at times.

SunnyBahrain can't figure out how to find us here so if anyone is good at explaining it, pls. go to post ops and get her in w/us. It would be nice to keep in touch w/her that way.

I am sooooooooooo lucky. Electricity went off in the entire block of houses right across my sidewalk here at the townhouse compound. My neighbor brought some things to stuff in my fridge/freezer this a.m. before she went off to work. And my garage still had elec. (not attached) so thank goodness i could get the door up/car out bec. i have to pick up teens later this a.m.

What a storm. It scared the HECK out of me. For all of you who live in the storm belts where you have cloud to ground strikes of lightening bolts on a regular basis I SALUTE YOU and your bravery. I love storms, but couldn't we just get something gentle? It's drought or disaster here in MN. All this storminess is slowing down the bridge recovery effort, too. Four people are still missing and I feel so sad for their families and friends. How painful.

Well, i think I am twinging already, and it had BETTER be a better day than yesterday. I have eaten (wasn't hungry but I make sure I eat no matter what) but have not walked one single lap, yet. Will wait to try and rouse DD and Dgd at their house in Mpls to see if they have electricity. If they don't answer, then the lights/phone are out. Only landlines will work if the lights are out and they are cordless.

Onward. It's five weeks today I got kicked out of the castle. I will try to 'take it easy' *** *** because of my long training at work tomorrow.

SunnyBahrain- I could not find the chat either for nothing! I typed in Sisters Chat in the search box to the right of this screen and it brought me to it Now when I want to post, I just log onto the email that is sent everytime someone adds to the thread.
It will be a while before I can wear the two piece again. The swelly belly is still getting the best of me!i have just used the razor.

No rain as of right now....it is terribly dry and getting more humid as the morning starts. Off to walk a few miles, as I have alot on my plate again today!! The advil PM works like a charm for me. Did not wake up til 7am!

Good Day to you all!

Sunny: don't know if that copy/paste is a way to get you to the sisters chat for our operation cycle or not. I asked the sisters on the chat that if any of them knew how to give you good directions for 'finding us' to please get in touch w/you.

I survived some ugly storms here in our area last night. The townhouses directly across the sidewalk lost all power, including to unattached garages. Thank the angels I still have 'juice'.........my neighbor was here cramming her food into my fridge/freezer today. Luckily I can get at my car. I will take a slow walk to assess storm damage in a while.

I pray my knots and pins and needles are much less today. That was a nasty afternoon/evening yesterday. I will watch what I eat, too. I ate breakfast, even though I'm not so hungry (I make sure I eat no matter what) ... and I will try not to go heavy on brown rice and beans and fresh veggies today!!

The twinges/pulls as Sunny calls them....they are so ODD because pre surgery I never had those feelings in my abdomen before. I do wish I could see inside my body! I know I already said it once, but it bears saying again.

A good Tuesday to you all....it's great that we are healing 'in one way or another'.........sometimes w/much progress and sometimes a step or two backwards. Take care all.

E- No rain here yet! I am glad you are safe. Did you get sleep?

I took an advil PM again last night and slept like a charm. I waited til I went to bed to take it... I was sore at the end of the day. Today doesn't prove to be any better. I will do alot of walking and up and down stairs again with touring yet another college.
E- My son was accepted at MN for pre-med when he graduated. Decided in March of his Senior year he was not done playing football and played for St. Norbert College here in town. He likes to be close to home, I guess! MN sure is a beautiful campus!!!!!

Off for my walk. I want to get a few miles in before college searching again!I was just waiting for the coffee to kick in so I did not need to go to the bathroom while i was walking. It seems since surgery, when I have the urge to have a BM comes...it is urgent I go!! Does anyone else feel that way?My dogs don't like the pota potty at the park Found that out 2 weeks postop. I don't like it either!!!
Good Day to you all!!

Good morning all,

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I am progressing well - things in my life are getting really crazy again which must mean I am healing. I believe God only gives you what you can handle but I don't know - after the last few days - I am almost missing the time recouping in my bedroom away from the world. I won't go into details - the issues will be positively resolved shortly - I've just had to put in more effort than expected to get to that place.

I think there needs to be a little clarification and I apologize if I am incorrect or my posting in some way offends anyone.

What is being referred to as a "chat" is actually another hystersisters thread where sisters who have had surgery around the same time go to post about non-recovery issues. It is a posting site, not a real time chat room. Some of you might be saying "duh!" but I have to admit, I was confused originally.

Anyway - happy Tuesday to all.

Sunny, about moisturizing: I have a tv in my bedroom and keep moisturizer (hand cream, foot cream, body moisturizer) on my nightstand. In the afternoons, while I'm watching mindless stuff on tv, I give the whole body a once-over. Plus, once I have applied foot cream I'm stuck in bed for a while, which is a good thing. My skin's in great shape!
Elefan, if you don't slow down and let your body heal you have to expect pain. You seem determined to be tough and use the "mind over matter" approach to healing, but it doesn't seem to be working. Apply some foot cream and STAY PUT!
Have a great day, everyone.

Nope, didn't sleep too much last night, which probably doesn't help the body heal. I got about 4 hours of fitful tossing and turning, which means a better sleep tonite to be sure. Yes, sometimes the 'urge' to 'go' is pretty strong.............so I try to 'wait' for my walks, too, at times.

Good healing to you today...............E.

Okay, Bopper. I'll try to 'stay put' but it won't be easy to tie me down. Take care. Foot cream sounds good as my own heels are cracked and often bleed. Vaseline and socks at nite are what the doctor ordered, but it doesn't seem to help much at all.

Good healing to you today. E

Hello all. It's a beautiful morning here in sunny California. Thought I'd let you know that I'm going to the doctors today. For the last five nights I've had the worst hot flashes. Can't sleep at all. My doctors going to go over my options. (any suggestions?) Something has to be done. I'm alittle upset at my doctor because she told me that since I'm 52 I wouldn't have any problems with hormones. That didn't seem right when she told me and now it really doesn't. If any of you are around my age and had a tah and are having hormone problems, please let me know. Thanks for any help
