Quite honestly, one look at me was all the doctor needed to realize i wasn't sleeping. I can't wait until 9 tonight -- sleep -- here I come!
I am lucky I don't have to report to work until 9/4. I can't imagine going back part-time, full-time or any time. I am just so tired. I don't know how the others do it. Maybe once I get into a good sleep pattern I will feel better.
Tell your doctor you can't sleep and if you have to, ask for a sleeping aid. I heard sometimes Tylenol PM or other over the counter sleep products leave you groggy in the am. I found the ambien not so bad. When I do go back to work I will make sure I take it early enough to get a good night's rest and I plan to get up extra early!
Have a good one!

Good afternoon ladies, today i worked 4 and a half hours. We fed the highschool football team. I also work tomorrow the same amount of time. My lower back hurts some what now. Also alittle swelly belly but glad to be really moving around. Since i'm not a walker or excercise person. I get all of my workout in the school kitchen. But now i'm tired and will be putting my feet up real soon. You do realize what muscle you do and don't use after awhile. So hello to all of you i haven't talk to yet today. I hope everyone had a great day. I'm kinda missing all the pampering though.

Sweet dreams, moejodep. I know what it's like to be sleep deprived, and when you're trying to heal at the same time it must be even worse. A good night's sleep will change your whole outlook. Enjoy!

jvjc-I had a TVH and was released at exactly 4 weeks. I do feel great also except towards the end of the day...I start to get a bit more tired and just more sore than prior to surgery. I had a couple of stabbing pains today as I toured a college with my daughter. Then it went away

I do take aan advil PM at night to help with the insomnia that I was having. I think it has helped me.

SISTER'S CLUB:

Had my 2nd post-op this morning and got the all clear. I forgot to take my advil before I went, but the internal still wasn't painful. Dr. said that I can resume pretty much anything except sex. To wait the full 6 wks. I had the LSH and I am feeling pretty well. I take 1 pain pill about every 2-3 days still when I do too much. My pain is on the right side (the working port) not in the belly like u guys. I have been walking since the night in the hospital and starting to worry about adhesions again.
I got my release papers and pay day tomorrow, guess i should go to bed. 3 checks deposited just like I was at work. Thursday is my 5-wk post-op and I will go back to work tomorrow & thurs from 9-3. We are off fridays in the summer. I am feeling really blessed.
Elefante, please be careful with adhesions. You don't want another surgery. My dr. didn't even want to discuss it with me. He made me feel I was being paranoid so I left it alone. I go back in 6 mths.
