I'm with you, Bopper. I like to eat, too, and had the CIN/CIS reasons for surgery so was at a certain weight going in and haven't budged much from it coming out. Good luck Monday w/the 5 week check...let us know how it goes. I was sooooo relieved that my path report was 'clean' even though I still have dysplasia so that's another story to discuss after I pull my head together and ask some tough questions the last time I see my own doc on 8/31 (he retires that day)...............

Swelly belly is really frustrating re: clothes! Some of my stuff fits okay and others............I can barely zip up the zipper even though people say I look thinner.....hmmmmmmm.

Take care....have a good day w/all that house work goin' on!

Ele, what's CIN/CIS? I can fit into everything now, at least in the morning, but by mid-afternoon I REALLY want to unzip! Shopping would make swelly belly worse, so not a good time to try on pants. However, yesterday I found the bargain of a lifetime: an Anne Klein silk blouse, original price $145, for $40!!

Hi, Bopper. I posted once before I think for Jennice on this post op site CIN/CIS. It's precancerous cells proliferating on the cervix. There are 3 stages-I-III and I had III. There's a 50/50 chance of cervical cancer if not treated. That's a simplified statement but enough. And now I've got CIN cells in the vaginal area, so we've got to watch and see that they regress to 'normal' and don't go 'I-III' on me. Over on the cancer discussion board there's more info on it.

I just walked on path I haven't taken in over 6 weeks and in tennies i just wore last nite for the first time in 6 weeks so I'm making progress but my chest hurts and hasn't for a good week and I'm now sitting tired out and chugging water.

Take care. E.

Right in your tummy area? or did you leave something behind? cervix? ovaries? I am sad you have to endure this, please keep us posted! Presouz

The dysplasia is on the vaginal wall, my doctor said at the 2.5 week post op appt. And from what I have seen on the cancer posts at this site, there are many sisters who have it. I thought I'd be home free w/the hysterectomy so I was very surprised. I will arm myself with knowledge after I see my doc one last time 8/31. That's why I have to go in every 3 months this first year for checks to see if the dysplasia is resolving itself or if it is progressing to more 'bad cells'..........amazing. It's all amazing to me. Ultrasounds/etc. showed everything fine inside me except for the bad cells on the cervix so I had TVH and kept everything else except uterus/cervix and part of the vaginal area where the cut was made. I'm learning too, as I go along. I try not to dwell on it, but when I go to the cancer site of hystersisters for support and more knowledge, sometimes I see more than I want to. I guess I'll always have to be on top of it and thinking about it.

Take care and thanks for writing. I had to look up a term someone used on the site yesterday, too, so it's common!! I think we could all pass very complicated hysterectomy quiz questions on any show after these experiences.

Well, Day 2 at work. I am working again 6 hrs and today is much better than yesterday. I have an appt today with my primary dr. My eye has been red on/off and now just on for a few days. It could be the meds, don't know. It isn't crusty or anything or itching. Just want to check it out. I went to the opthalmologist before a few years ago for the other eye and she gave me some eye drops that didn't work that well. I visited her 3X and eventually I just waited it out. Back then, I believe my BP was yo-yoing. She mentioned everything, but High BP. So this time, I am going to my primary. Plus, it is cheaper.

OH MY GOODNESS you are out and about at work? I have been working since day one home from the hospital, but only answering questions from my customers, I dont have to drive anywhere and didnt work but about 3 hours the first week total.. I really stayed in bed and was waited on by my DD. I find sitting on the PC is even too much but working a few hours a day from home.. GOOD LUCK man you are one strong lady!!!

swelly belly uugg!

Glad to know I am not alone in this swelly belly problem, mine looks lumpy too. My wt has stayed the same but I look and feel fatter because I can't keep my pants zipped up either!! Sitting very long is the pitts! I thought I would be gong back to work next week. (we'll see) I sit alot at my work & my fellow workers are all "fellows" & we share the same bathroom! (wonder how they are doing w/o someone to change T.P.) Tops of my thighs pinch when I walk but it is gradually getting better. Went a little further last night. Thanks so-o much for everyones input, I can't believe DR's can't give us more info when we leave the castle! What would I do w/o you'all.

SPEAKING of leaving the castle, the nurses never even looked at me and didnt take out my staples! Doctors orders! I didnt know until a week later when they started to get make my skin all red and puffy, called my Doc she told me they should have been taken out before you left the hospital! UGH.. had to drive my first week in 110 heat to get them out, I was upset to say the least.. all is better now, swelly belly all the time, not sure if ice or heat helps get rid of it.. anyone have any ideas? I love to use both, heat heals, ice makes life easier heh heh..

Thanks for the info, ele. My doctor told me I had "complex hyperplasia" after being "stuck" at simple hyperplasia for some time. He seemed to think I was still some distance from cancer, so I'm thinking it was probably stage II, but he thought it wise to dispose of all my "nursery" equipment since I'm not using it any more (age 56). I don't mind living without the nursery but sure want to keep the playroom :-)
Thanks again for the info. I'll visit the cancer site if my doctor has anything troubling to say on Monday. Meanwhile, I'm staying away from it because I find that too much information only leads to anxiety, which is an ongoing problem for me anyway.
Glad to hear that others prefer to stay zipless too. The support actually feels good in the morning, but downright uncomfortable by mid-afternoon. Just walked to the neighbourhood Blockbuster to get more movies.
Happy day, everyone.
