Ouch
I don't think I did a whole lot today. I went for a walk in the woods (about 40 minutes) and then stopped at the store for a very few groceries. By the time I got home I was exhausted and hurting. It's not a localized pain, but the kind of overall throbbing you get on the heavy day of a period. I generally feel really good, but as soon as I start to behave like a healthy person it starts to hurt again. Anyway, I'll see the doc tomorrow and see what he has to say about a return to work. Take care everybody

Two more days and back to work I go myself! I hope I survive. I used to have trouble learning student names prior to surgery; I can't imagine how hard it's going to be for me now. I have them make little cards w/their names on them and have them place the cards on their desks, but some lose 'em, I try to collect them and lose 'em, and I still have trouble learning them all. Well, I am going to think positive because i know that will help me in the end.

Rain, rain, go away, we needed the water, but NOT ALL IN ONE DAY. The scenes from southern MN are unbelievable. Just unbelievable. Total devastation. I might try to get in another lap or two............I'll see. It's misty out there. I got every single pair (well, all 3 pairs I own) of shoes wet today.

A good evening to you all w/lots of rest, pleasant dreams, no pain, less swelly belly..............six weeks tomorrow for me since my trip to the castle.

E.

Ah, but on my drive to the woods I saw a mama deer and her faun crossing the road. Wouldn't trade that for anything :-)

Bopper,
Seeing those deer would have scared the **** out of me. I am not a nature person although I don't agree with deer hunting.

I know what you mean about feeling good. I feel good for a few days, then always seem to have a set back. I don't think that I will be ready for this thread to close in 2.5 wks. Hopefully, none of us will still be hurting off/on by then. I prayed for this entire thread at church today.

Elephante,
You had your last post op yet? Some people got two, some one. I got 2, but the first one was really, really quick. The 2nd one wasn't as thorough as I wanted. He talked more about the politics of my job. That was kinda rude. I wanted to know more about my body. O well, if I keep calling him after this, he should know Y

Post Op Jennice.....

Hi,.......

I had a post op 2.5 weeks after leaving the castle bec. my OB wanted to review the pathology report w/me and make sure I didn't have any malignant cells. He did a quick internal, answered questions like "when can i swim, bike," etc...and reviewed the 'no XYZ for 6 week rules" and said 'come again six weeks out.' I tried to make that appt. and it would be first week Sept. and he would be retired by then so I took a slot on 8/31 which is his very last day in the HMO network. Thus, I will try to be a good gal until then. At that time he will do an internal....and since it'll be 7 weeks and four days post op...don't know if he'll try a pap or not. He said I must have a pap every 3 months this first year bec. I still have dysplasia. So I'm reading everyone's appts w/great happiness as they all come back cleared and/ or w/some extra time off work. Me being a teacher I don't have a lot of choice.........i report back this Wed. for 'duty days' and then in the classroom Mon. the 27th. Maybe I'll really be dragging by the time I see the OB on 8/31!!

Take care...............glad you are healing better today......E.

hello ladies

Right now my days are all half days until the 27th when school does start. We just feed the football players and new teachers right now. Then in full force when the kids come in. It has been raining here all day today. Just a nice steady rain. Yah I don't have to go back to the Dr. until May now. Unless something happens between now and then. But i still can't believe no sex until another 3 weeks. Dh said he knew that would happen. But felt so good to soak in the tub last night. And remember ladies even though our recovery thread will be closing soon. This thread won't. So if we feel we need to stay in touch just because we formed such good friendships over this time just hop on this sister chat line. I know i will from time to time. Cuz i will miss ya's

Can you believe it's almost six weeks? I was remembering my 'last day pre castle' this a.m...............sometimes I go post on other sites on pre op/ post op to help other ladies who are freaking out or who have questions after they go home to recuperate............ i get so forgetful i wish i'd forget this whole 'thing'.......what a summer. I just bought my little granddaughter the newest tamagochi (spelling?)......we didn't go anywhere or do much of anything this summer because of the surgery and we are always so broke so I thought I'd surprise her tonite. She is soooooooo happy. And got dear teen two iTune cards for a few more songs on her ipod. Of course she is out AGAIN changing here hair color AGAIN after she didn't like the peekaboo coloring she did last week. Sigh sigh SIGH.

Take care...................E. Hugs back at ya. I'm on quick post so not putting the real hugs in there.
