I felt the need for some fat free vanilla icecream. I thought it may help the aches and pains ha ha. It didn't. But it sure tasted good though, Lifted the mood up alittle bit.

Well ladies,
I am back to work and back into the swing of things with meetings and projects. Thankfully, I have my own office so that I can sit with my legs up when I need to and most of my work is done by phone and computer.

I have to admit - I feel pretty darn great!!! I never expected to feel this good this fast but it just proves that I really needed to have this surgery to be done. I can not believe how much the anemia affected my life. The only residual effect from surgery is a slight burn along my incision. My remaining ovary has kicked in and I feel more balanced - I am most definitely perimenapausal but that started a couple of years ago and even those symptoms aren't nearly as bad. (Sorry to boast especially to those who are still not up to par but I felt so horrible for so long.)

I still don't sleep fully through the night but that is not something new for me. Talk about a worrywart - the minute I wake up, the TV must go on (with closed caption so that I don't wake DH) to keep my brain occupied or I will start thinking about things that are either problems, potential problems, or work related issues (they don't pay me enough to loose sleep over work related issues...).

Anyway - I will check in from time to time - probably on the chat page - I hope that everyone from the recovery thread will continue to touch base through that thread. Adios amigos.

I had a lot of pain today in the afternoon. Don't know why. Pain/pins/needles and crampy feeling. Rats. Probably bec. I'm sad about certain things going on at work. I'm sure that affects everything. Owie. I tried to drink a lot of water. I even took a short walk for about 25 min. between classes and office hours. Owie this afternoon/evening suck to put it mildly. I've still got chores to do and grading and i'd like to go out in the cool nite air....but don't know if i will get there. I am glad so many of you are feeling great. I am happy for you all.

Re: Sunny. She is probably swamped w/work. I have her private email address bec. i sent her a private msg once and i am sure she is okay. I was just wondering aloud; don't you all worry about her. I will try to email her this weekend when I can 'breathe' after a full work week.

Take care tonite my friends. Continued healing to you all..............E.

I will pray tonite for the lady w/the friend w/the five kids and RT breast lump. Let us know how it goes.

I had a day full of afternoon pain/cramps. Don't know why. That's why when I go to the bathroom I always expect to see 'something coming out' but never do. I can't wait until my Fri appt w/my doc.

Everyone have a good evening. I'm so swamped I can't even write anymore tonite. Swamped to the max. HUGS from E.

Oh, that is what I forgot to say. I was on my way to the bank. Drove right past the bank. Stuff like that. It scares the heck out of me. I didn't used to do that before surgery. A little forgetful about 'stuff' yes, but to not remember? And I'll be going to get something in one room and then ask myself, "Why am I walking in here?" I do not like this one bit. It had better go away one of these days.

Over and out. Hugs to all of you tonight. You are my lifesavers. I think of you when I am at work! E

Gemini3 -- I feel your pain! This is my last week off from work and feel like I'm leaving my "Safe Spot" too -- Yikes! Back to the real world. I hope everyone is understanding and nice to both of us. I just found out I will be working with the students for six straight blocks. Thank goodness I start part-time and work up to full.

Good luck Gemini!
