I'm so sorry you've has such trouble and pain. I really am blessed that everything has gone so well for me. I set up my office in my dining room and have been working every since day seven postop. I work for two hours, then rest, then work again. For me it's good for my mind. I've worked for thirty five years and can't stand being home. I will keep you in my prayers and hope all will start going well for you. Believe me, after you start feeling better, you will be so happy about having the surgery. The thought of no more periods is unbelievable to me. Take care and let me know how you're doing.

Debbie

Hi,
My surgery was July 9th. I'm so glad to hear someone else say how well they are doing. I could'nt feel any better. I have had no problems whatsoever. I don't even have the swelly belly. I've never had the hunched over walking either. From hearing from other sisters, I've really been blessed by having no problems. Good luck to you and the rest of your recovery.

For all of you in hot climes.......it is true, be careful out there. The nurse who called me last week told me to be VERY careful if it's hot/muggy. Today is beautiful here w/low dewpoints and so I have been able to walk three miles so far. But it's not so easy each day. You all must be very careful. I also read above about the hunched back.......my daughter says I am walking funny or not standing up like I usually do. I didn't even know it. Today I have a pain while walking......left shoulderblade kind of. I laughed thinking maybe it's from carrying a water bottle around w/me when I walk those laps! lol. Maybe that's it. Anyway, I keep thinking of you all and hoping you are all making progress in healing.......E.

Debbie Mac..........way to go on your recovery! Even w/TVH I have more 'belly' than I used to and i can't 'suck it in' like i used to! Ah, well, time will heal us all........

SunnyBahrain -

I am so sorry to see that you are experiencing difficulties. Is there anyone who could perhaps do some interpreting for you?

Glad you are doing well also. Had my TAH and multiple repairs on July 9th. as well and doing great! My best wishes to all who have not. I am so glad we are the blessed "few" with few or no problems. Still have my catheter in...but no big deal...Continued good luck with your progress.

Hi again Sunny Bahrain,
I am doing really fine. I am going to assume that yesterday when I had a sneeze, it kind of hurt and has ever since. Then I started spotting again with a little extra pain but nothing that ibuprofen won't take care of. If I still feel uncomfortable tonight and spot any worse, I will call the nurse just to check in, but I believe this was just a little normal twist in the healing. I have done so well, I am not sure what 'bad' is. lol I am like Debbie Mac on here....very blessed to be doing so well!
I hope you get to feeling better real fast.
Big hug to you,
Nora

Wow!! I can't believe what you've been through. I haven't had infection or horrible pain. Anyway, I think it's a good idea to be on the antibiotics as a preventive measure--just in case. I started to deveop a cold and have been sneezing quite a lot, which makes it hard on the incission. I do have the saussage like swelling which is hard and the Dr told me it was normal. When I look at myself in the mirror, I look as if I were pregnant----Not the look I'm looking for, especially since I don't have children and had to have the TAH. Back to you, listen to your body and get the rest you need. DO NOT over do it. Concentrate on thinking that every day that goes by, will be one less day you feel lousy. Visualize your body healing and believe that it is. I really hope you start feeling better soon. Are you with family or friends in Bahrain that could lend a helping hand?

I'm pretty sure I don't have an infection, no temperature, no discharge, but who knows? My gynae certainly didn't seem to know?!

For the ladies who are still suffering with BM, have you tried Smooth Move Tea? I know its only a mild laxative but have found it to be brilliant and so far, no problems at all. Also peppermint oil in your belly button is supposed to be very good as well. Hope it helps!

I will log in tomorrow, take care all of you and thanks for your good wishes and prayers.

Hugs from a very hot Bahrain (49 deg)
The tea you are talking about is excellent!! I also went in regarding an infection but they said I did not have one but still encouraged me to take an antibiotic. I am waiting for 1 more day and if I am still in lower pain I think I am going to start to take it. I really don't quite understand it though. I also don't want to take something I may not need. But if there is a chance it will help with pain I feel I am getting ready to start to take them.

Good morning?

Greetings Ladies!
My schedule is a bit off and I am not waking up until 1:30 in the afternoon so I miss most of the early morning discussion. I was a little sore today and the "ledge" was back with a vengeance because I went out to dinner with a friend and sat in a chair for like 5 hours. Didn't overdo, just a little sore.

I wish I could send my MD to SunnyBahrain and get her feeling better. It's hard to hurt but it's even harder when you don't know why Best wishes Sunny.

My DH and DD are being very cool. If I ask for things they do them, otherwise...it's hit and miss. My philosophy about that is that we ladies have been doing such an excellent job of taking care of everyone for so long that we make it look effortless and therefore, they have no idea how much work we have been doing all these years. They HAVE taken excellent care of me and have also tolerated not having much fun for the last 11 days.

I called to get my path report today and it was clear - just fibroids and a cyst.

I am off to get a haircut with DH driving me. I hope I can tolerate sitting in that chair long enough. Then it's back here to lie down and heal some more. More Kudos to elefante for her walking - I can do the stairs but flat walking makes me feel like everything is about to fall out I'll work on that more starting Monday, my 2-week anniv. Yea!

Take care today!

Hurrydog, how cool that you could call and get the path report. I have to wait until I'm sitting in my doc's office. I've checked online a couple of times and don't find anything in my chart, yet. Since I had CIN3/CIS I'm going to try and keep my sanity until I'm sitting in front of him next Wednesday morning. Congrats to you. Take care. E.
