Jennice, I don't blame you for wanting to wait. The nurse stressed, DO IT WHEN YOU WANT. Yep, it's that guy. It was okay except that morally i have issues w/it. And the pain was hard to describe. I don't usually have any pains in my body, so all this pain stuff is very new to me. And I like to feel it only because it tells me when something is wrong. It wasn't a stabbing pain like a knife (though I had a twinge or two in the right ovary area after it was over) ... it was like someone pushing hard on a tender tissue I would imagine...like imagine your gum is sore in your mouth and you are scrubbing it w/the toothbrush....maybe that kind of pain (sometimes my gums get inflamed and I just keep flossing and brushing bec. I know that NOT doing it will make it worse and dealing w/the pain and keeping up the motion/movement on the sore area will resolve the situation in a few days).. so that kind of pain. Oh, and I remember I had read that 'where does all the liquid go?' and so I said, 'give me a LOT of kleenix...LOL... it used to be one or two pieces of kleenix and this time a bunch of it. So funny. He said it felt totally the same to him ... even though I said, BE GENTLE for goodness sakes and he tried to be. So that's how it was. I'm very disappointed in the pain and inside myself i 'feel different' than before, even if the other person doesn't. If you are w/someone who is gentle and loving and caring, then it can be very nice, really. But I almost feel like I should have gone for another check up okay before I even tried!!! Monday is my 11th week, I think, since the surgery. On Oct. 5 I will find out what the scoop is. Oh, and the nurse said stretching/etc. needs to occur bec. that tissue is tender/hasn't been used in a while, and that's true, bec. I had a LEEP in May and had to wait a long time after that to do 'x' and so basically since March when the bad pap/ and then April colposcopy and May LEEP...there were weeks and weeks also w/no action in there.

I almost wish I had a picture of 'before' and 'after' in there so I could see for myself how I've changed inside.

Anyway, you have a wonderful guy and it's going to be wonderful when you are ready. But yep, you've got to be ready.

Take care.

PHIL!! I am so happy your CT Scan turned out ok. Regarding back pain I am having it too. My massage therapist told me to ice the back and put a heating pad on the front tummy. I came home in such pain today with all the standing and running I do. He gave me the info about hot and cold and I tried it tonight and it really helped!! Give it a go.

I see my doctor on Monday again re:diverticulitis I will have a blood test and CT Scan. I am still having pain and not able to eat much because it runs through me. Well, I ve lost 9 lbs with this whole deal so far but I would rather lose it on my own terms not stomach issues. I ended the antibiotics on Thurs. but I think they remain in your system so I am hoping I am having trouble due to the medication.

Tough week of actually getting sleep though....so tired.

E......O.K. you have to tell me why Syliva B said the wake up time is usually 3-3:30am because thats usually when I wake up. so hard to get back to sleep!

Hey everyone!
Just passed week 8 and I actually wore zippered shorts for almost an entire day last Saturday! I tried to do some weed-wacking today because I really enjoy doing outside work - but after about 10 minutes, I realized that it is still too early to be doing this. Oh well. Back to the knot below my left boob.
Ele, have you have the knot lately? It went away for about a week and then came back today after doing the yard work - makes me believe that it truly is related to overwork. Still get swelly belly every night though.
BTW, how is your grading going? I have 4 more classes of tests to grade then about 80 essays or so. I feel like I am actually getting caught up. I really tried Friday to get one more class of tests done but it just wasn't in me. I hope to get caught up this week (yeah - then I will have this week's assignment to grade). Oh well.
Those awful hemmies...I found that the pads work but get yourself a doughnut and sit on it, eventually they will go away.
And the "witching hour", I wake up almost every evening around that time except for the last few nights. I decided that I really needed the sleep I haven't been getting so I am taking a .05 xanax along with the new sleep aid "Rozerem" which is non narcotic (but a prescription) and an absolute godsend! I have actually slept for about six hours straight! Ladies - if you can't sleep, try this combo! I will discontinue the xanax this week and just take the Rozerem until I can actually work back into a "normal pattern' whatever that means
Take care everyone. We are all queens and have made it so far! My birthday is Monday - I will be 51 and period free!!!

I had a knot below my right breast, after I did some work too, so yes I think its work related, funny you think after 2 months all would be ok... but I am so worn out! Added problems with my legs now, hope it all works out!
The knot is now gone I was off my feet most of yesterday and today. Does that help anyone too?

I am so glad your better Phil. Jennice as far as the hemmys, me too. They decided to show up during the prep of this last test. I too use the wipes they help a lot. Now that my stomach wants to keep pushing everything out. I end up have 3 - 5 small BM a day!!! WEIRD for me when usually it's just one. Must be the antibiotics. At least that's what I hope.

It's so strange I didn't get to read all the posts and they did not show up in my mail box. O.K. now I see the witching hour regarding waking up around 3ish. Interesting

Anyway, i wanted to tell you that I too have a heightened sense of smell since the surgery. Its so weird isnt it? Scents that didnt bother me before, really bother me now like an air freshener that we use that gets plugged into the wall. i've used them for years and now I cant stand them. So many "little" things are different since the surgery. Alot of people wouldnt believe us if we were to talk about it.

I feel bad for Law and all of the lifting .......Law, do you use something around your waist like a special belt or waistband to help you. You must be exhausted on Fridays.

My back, hips, and legs hurt so much at the end of the day. Do you feel like that?

Mylittle: Happy Birthday Tomorrow!

Happy birthday to you, feliz cumpleanos,

Yep, I still get the knot, but not as often. And mine's on the right side ribcage under the breast area. I notice it if I am walking a lot. Maybe it is related to 'overdoing' it... not sure. But your surgery date was a good spell after mine, so I'm not surprised you have it sometimes. Isn't it weird? The doc said he thought it would be related to intestines, because it was too high to be any other plumbing inside my body. This past week I did not feel it as much and much of my stabbing little pains have subsided pretty much. Now I just have to deal w/and figure out why I bled during 'x' and why it hurt so much and i'll see the new OB early Oct for that.

I have two sleeping teens in one room and a third/fourth grader duo in my nice comfy bed. I got the sleeping bag on the floor last nite, so I'm tired out. It's going to be a VERY long Sunday!

A good Sunday to you all, and hoping your aches and pains ease w/time.

Byfaith: yes, antibiotics can make a person basically get the runs sometimes, so going to the bathroom so many times as you describe is a common side effect of some antibiotics. I hope you get to stop taking that stuff because you are healed very soon! Take care.

Hey Everyone! It's been awhile since I've checked in! Tried to catch up a little on the last couple pages...I feel so lost with everyone... sorry!

Everything has been going fine here...feel completely back to normal...except...and I caught a little being said in a couple posts...my eyes feel all screwed up...what's up with that...I've never had allergies that I know of and have always had 20/20 eyesight, but it seems they are so red, dry and glarey looking...tried regular visine, only get relief for maybe 10/15 minutes...was thinking of getting some visine for dry eyes or something but haven't gotten around to it yet...sorry to have to make anyone repeat info but can anyone give some advise?????????

Other than that, been working long hours and trying to wrap up the last of beautiful summer weekends...

Heading for the Cleveland Indian's game here in a couple hours........GO TRIBE!!!!! Todays win will be huge!!!!!!!!!! Then when we get back in town we're meeting our ds and his Xgf at dinner at a fancy Japanese restruant we've never been to, mmmm yummy I hear!!!!!!!!!!

Well my friends, hoping I find time to go back and catch up with you all..................Still think about all of you all the time

I had two xrays done yesterday (orderd by my gp)...one of my lower spine and one of my upper spine. I already got the results!! I love Cleveland Clinic! Anyway, both xrays are fine. so whatever is going on with my back is not showing up on an xray. At least nothing is broken. So now we continue to investigate..........Maybe all of this is just a process since the surgery, who knows? That darn backpain!

Its raining alot here today so i think we'll stay home and relax. We really needed the rain so I'm happy about that. Now if it would only get cooler, we'd be set! Glad to hear that everyone is more or less okay. Jenn, i'm not sure about hemmy's. i hope you are better today. Sounds like Gemini is going to have a great day! byfaith, keep us posted on your backpain situation too. maybe we both have the same thing going on. Can't believe its 11 weeks tomorrow
