It's good to hear from you Phil! Waiting for the update. What ever happened with the achy stuff and hormones??? Please let us know!

Presouz, all I can say is your awesome!! I just want to hug you! Such a good sister! Working though this hormone thing is unbelievable! I just take it day to day. I tried changing my estrogen to taking it mostly during the day a very little at night to see what happens. I know I have to be patient it. It will take a couple weeks.

Law, good luck with the job hunting! Let us know if you get that one. I know what that is like I did the same thing recently. I must say it's tough starting a new job when you go into surgical menopause. I have worked so hard. I have been at my new job just 2 months. The brain does not work as well. It has been very frustrating.

Hugs!

byfaith, thanks so much for the cheers!! I have been a MESS!!! I started taking my permarin again yesterday those patches I was using for the past 2 months I must have became allergic to... I have been itching at the patch site since I started to use them and finally they gave me a rash first few red spots and then HUGE raised over entire area! I did change the patch each week from side to side, never the same spot so I guess my skin was not able to take those patches, The hormones were not able to absorb just irritate I fear because I was feeling UGH, awful!!! PLUS I BROKE OUT IN menopause acne all over my forehead a few days ago... OMG! anyone else have that happen? I got out my body scrub and scrubbed like mad it did get better in 24 hours.... I had some left over permarin from pre surgery, took that yesterday and today. Guess what? I feel better too! My dang lower back had been hurting where my patches were going I though I was having a UTI again, but today my back isnt hurting with no patches for over 48 hours.. . THIS IS SOOO CONFUSING!!! I go to the OB on Monday morning to have a bladder VOID Check done.. .. plus I said screw it to not drinking coffee, I had stopped for about 2 years and have been dragging ever since. After my 2 DR appointments one GP and one ENDO told me my cortisol was low and that I need a mood stimulator but neither were comfortable writing a script for one, they want me to go to a shrink for one, I have zero funds for a shrink.... so I went and had coffee 2 days in a row and I'm ready to take on the world again..wow why did I ever stop drinking it!!! heh heh.. I Hope its not a fluke, its been a long time since I have felt this good!! For now my new vitamins and changing my HRT and coffee seems to be working for now!! WOW I almost feel human again,

Hi byfaith, sorry you 've been feeling sad. This hormone thing is nuts isnt it? I hope we can figure it out soon enough. I'm happy its Christmas time and winter break at school is coming up very soon too. I really need a break from work. Its been exhausting!

update

Hi everyone, I'm so happy that soon some of us will be off for winter break and/or vacation. Maybe we can catch up on our chats I miss checking in to see how everyone is doing. I did go back and read all of the recent posts. We all sound very similar, more or less. As for me, my chief complaint continues to be the muscle and joint pain. That has been the number 1 menopause symptom for since 6 weeks post op. So I've spent the last couple of weeks seeing different doctors (went to an orthpedic) for my back pain/body pain and he ordered some tests, more blood tests. Thankfully i do not have arthritis or any other inflammatory disease. Soooooooo, i went back to my surgeon. I am OFFICIALLY as of today on the Climara patch .05 mg. anyone else on this hormone? I put it on this morning. I am hoping that this will help solve my muscle and joint pain along with all of the vitamins and supplements I am taking. I'd love to hear from you all.

Phil, I am so happy that you don't have any other ailment! I hope the hormone helps! I am thinking it will!

Presouz, I am so happy you are having a good day! I hope it continues. But your right what a mess! When you think all is getting better... then you have an awful day and you think WHAT! Sometimes even on my worse menstrual days I did not feel as bad. I have been doing OK, but today....BAD! Up and down and when I feel terrible and sad sometimes I don't see the end of the tunnel. Who could understand? My husband tries but he actually makes me MORE upset because he does not let me vent...or he could be tired of it all. Now 5 months of this. Our sex life is virtually none! I should just divorce him and set him free of this now non-sexual person. I feel so guilty.

Okay, enough....if anyone is listening I am sorry...but thanks. Having a bad week. Hugs.

Hi byfaith, today is day 5 on the patch and i am starting to feel better. I cant believe that the aches and pains came from not being on estrogen. I honestly didnt think that it would happen so soon.

Presouz, I just read your previous post about the allergy with the patch. was it Climara? I've only been on it for 5 days but it is itching at times. I'm trying hard to ignore it because i'm feeling better in just a few days. I've been in so much pain the last few months. this is a relief at least for now.

I am so happy to hear that Phil! I just knew you were having hormone issues. I had the same problem. I was so achy. Like I said before, I don't know how you could stand it! It is amazing how all the hormones effects your body. I hope you continue to feel better. Hugs!!!!!!!!!!

Hi byfaith, oh no my goodness!!! Dont divorce him! Good men are hard to find... and before surgery a hard man was good to find!! UGH, I have had zero x drive too, its so hard but you dont want to grow old alone and Im sure your hubby doesnt either!! I am sure you can work things out in that dept! I was willing to trade in my x drive to be free of all my pain. I am now free of pain and just getting my HRT squared away.

Phillipians446, I was on the estroial patch,0.375 the nurse said it could be the adhesive I was alergic too??? I used to put the patch on one side one week and the other side the next week, I put mine on my lower back as the directions said but found out at the OB on monday abs were ok too. Where are you putting yours?

I really liked those patches too, so sad they caused such a messy rash, they kept the hot flashes away, now back on Premarin 0.3MG I have been getting a few warm fuzzies again.

My OB wrote me a script for estratest? I Have yet to get it I went to pick it up and there was a mix up and they told me the cost was 250.00 SO I said no way I can afford that every month, calling my OB back she said that there is a generic and called the pharmacy to tell them, and then the pharmacy told me after all the panic that the 250.00 was for 3 months of name brand.. so will keep you all informed about the new estratest.suppose to help with x drive and clear up the fuzzy thinking HERES HOPING!!! Merry Christmas to all my sisters... and Happy Holidays for the ones who dont do christmas!!!!

Hi Presouz and byfaith, i'm off today so i can write to you all early! Yeah! Its my birthday so I took it off to have a nice lunch with my hubby and kids. Today is also the last day of school so I am officially on winter break for 2 weeks. Praise God! I need to rest! anyway, I am Estradiol 0.05. It is generic for Climara. It was only $15 with my insurance and the box brings 4 patches. Let me know about Estratest goes.

Byfaith, don't divorce him!!! Pray, pray, pray instead. Presouz is right in all she said. And, you KNOW God expects more of you! Come here to vent all you want. We are here to listen, but dont divorce him over that.
