Doctor recommendations?

I'm new here and don't know whether sharing doctor recommendations is allowed here, but thought I'd ask. I am in MA and in an online search saw there is a center for uterine fibroids at Brigham and Women's so made an appt there but don't know the dr at all--just got whoever had first opening. This is for a 2nd opinion. Anyone seen someone good there. I assume since they are a center for uterine fibroids they must know their stuff.

Thank you.

Re: Doctor recommendations?

I have moved your thread here to our Massachusetts forum so ladies in your area can see it and share any information they may have.

As a reminder for those who may be able to share, all physician names and comments about them, and any negative comments regarding the facility, must only be shared privately per TOS.

Re: Doctor recommendations?

Hi Lilac Queen,
I live in the same state. I went to Beth Israel, Lahey, and MGH for consultations. I ended up going with MGH with Dr. < >, 2 different people I know had her for surgery and she is always rated one of the Best of Boston. She was incredible. The staff at MGH were wonderful, not one negative thing to say about them. I had a DaVinci /LAVH, took out cervix, tubes, and unterus. I had adenomysosi and cysts. It was the best decision I made-I just wish I had made it sooner. I never went to Brighams because was spooked by the morecellator story that was in the news a lot last year.

Re: Doctor recommendations?

I would recommend Massachusetts General Hospital, my operation was flawless. And the team is very compassionate and understanding. They made what was the most difficult thing in my life easier to deal with.
