Which Dulcolax??

Good morning to all First, I'd like to thank everyone for their loving support and I'm so glad I've found this forum. I really hope to be on here Post-op helping others along when the time comes.

I am on my clear liquid diet today with bowel prep later this afternoon. I plan on calling my doctor, but wanted to ask here too. Silly question. my instructions say "take 4 Dulcolax pills" So, I went to the store yesterday to buy them, and there's the laxative ones, and there's stool softeners. So which ones??

Since it is bowel prep day - it is probably the laxative... but the stool softeners will come in handy post-op.

My Dr had me take the laxatives to help clean me out....I would get the stool softeners and mirlax for after surgery. The stool softeners didn't help, so the Dr told me to take mirlax and it works like a charm, but do check with your Dr.bestwishes
