TAH: Hysterectomy tomorrow 2/5: Obstructive sleep apnea and anesthesia

Tomorrow is my surgery and I wanted to know if anyone with OSA ( obstructive sleep apnea)had any problems with the anesthetic? This is my main worry.

Make sure everyone knows that you have sleep apnea. This is very important. Also, if you have a CPAP machine you should bring that.

I do not have apnea, but know that we do have ladies on this site that do. Hopefully one will see this post and respond with their experience.

Hello, I've also read posts about bringing your CPAP machine.

Other members have said they will hook it up after your surgery is done.

Be sure to let everyone know including your surgeon, nurses, & especially your anesthesiologist.
