Re: Vaginal Cuff Questions (kids mentioned)

I will be honest, I was nervous with my own doctor, only because I only see my gyn for only certain times, when he told me I needed this surgery due to ultrasound results and past history and a failed ablation. I had everything removed except the cervix. Now I may not have liked the doctor or liked the fact i have tried everything to avoid this. I was told it needed to be done. I went Friday for my post op appointment and when he showed me the pathology report and i had endno and my ovaries showed cancer. I wanted to hug that man with all my heart and I cried. Thats when he told me this is why i needed the surgery it was not a waste of time. I thank god for that man.

Re: Vaginal Cuff Questions (kids mentioned)

I was hoping you'd get more responses about your original question regarding what sex is like minus a cervix.

I have suspected ando. I have daily cramping, cramps get bad during my period, and I have heavy periods that get heavier each month. My ultra sound showed my uterus was enlarged.

I originally wanted to keep my cervix due to sex, but my doctor explained that my bleeding problems would most likely come back once my endometrial lining grew back. She explained that the cervix and uterus aren't separate organs, rather the cervix is the bottom of the uterus. So, if your problem happens to be bleeding, then leaving the cervix may mean more bleeding woes. Also, surgically she just doesn't think leaving my cervix is a good option. I had three c-sections that have left my uterus scarred and with a lot of adhesions. She said that trying to save my cervix would make my surgery much more complicated. She had me convinced with the bleeding issue. I want to be done with my periods.
