meeeee toooo mzamarripa!!! I was almost relieved when my doc said another month at my last appointment. I will admit that since then I have not been quite as much an emotional wreck as I was. Taking it slow and gentle will be the way to go but still scary!!

I'm glad I'm not alone Jeep54. I've been through much pain, and afraid to bear anymore. Slow and gentle will be my motto!!

Re: Resuming sex to early.. Really , whats the deal???

At my 5 week appointment, my doc said it was ok to try at week 6. I had not had any complications whatsoever and my doc said she didnt see any reason why we shouldn't give it a try. Hubby and I fully anticipated on adding 2 weeks to that because of my nerves, however at week 6 weeks we wound up having sex. It was great for both of us. We took it slow. I had no pain, no bleeding or spotting during or afterwards, with the exception of a tinge of light pinkness when i first wiped after sex. I keep expecting a BV, yeast infection, pain or discharge...it's been 3 days and I still feel great. We said we won't resume our normal sex life for a few more weeks. I'm glad we tried it at the 6 week mark. That's one less thing we have to worry about. I definitely would not have done it prior to getting my doctors ok, and prior to feeling physically up to it.

Well giving up cervix was an easy decision as cancer invaded stroma, so bye-bye it went.

My doctor said that he had to go in and make repairs when some couples went ahead with the sex too early.

That's why I'm waiting at least until I'm 12 weeks post-op! I'm really paranoid after reading some of the posts after the cuff was torn. I couldn't imagine going through this again. I'm so glad the DH has a clear understanding and has been there every step of the way to agree to wait.

Re: Resuming sex to early.. Really , whats the deal???

I had a LSH which is just the removal of the uterus, cervix left intact, and had me tubes removed. Dr said sex was cleared at two weeks! Since that scares me a little we will take the wait and see method. Start off slow when I feel ready and stop if anything doesn't feel right.

I'm waiting 12 weeks atleast and hubby is good with that because he don't want to take any chances.
