Am I the only one?

Ok, this will be my first time ever to tell what I've been dealing with since my hysterectomy 8 years ago. It started with a couple of bumps down there, like pimples. Now I have cysts all over the area, even towards the vaginal opening. These are filled with a chalky "paste" for lack of better description (sorry for the graphic descriptions). Once in awhile they itch. That's when I know they are ready to pop. I now have scars. 😥 I've scoured the internet looking for a dermatology site that mentions these. The closest I've found is "subcutaneous calcinosis" which is typically found on male scrotum and very very rarely on women. Lucky me. 🙄 They are sometimes caused by trauma to the skin.
Does anyone else have these?? They interfere with sexual pleasure and are extremely embarrassing. My doctors are clueless and I'm too embarrassed to seek out a dermatologist who knows what to do...besides, from what I've read, the only solution is surgical removal and then they might return.

since they are having such a negative impact on your life, find a dermatologist that can treat them. get multiple opinions if you have to. it's not worth trying to live with them if they bother you that much. I hope you find some answers!

I highly recommend seeing a dermatologist. You may have hidradenitis suppurativa. A good friend of mine has it and it sounds like what you described. I could be wrong. See a dermatologist, I would hate for you to go thru this and it be controllable if you saw a dermatologist. I wish you only the best.
