Two large fibroids and a cyst on my ovary, need advice

Hello I am Divi .

I have not been on in a while due to going back and forth with doctor visits, testing and ER experiences in the past two months. After much thoughtful planning and looking at other options I decided to do my minor Hyst(cervix left in) I have tried herbal remedies, hormonal powder , changed diets to shrink my fibroids, It shrunk just a bit 2 yearsago But now in the past year it has gotten larger and... I now have two fibroids and they are bigger then grapefruits. In the last 2 months alone I have gained so much weight(I look 7 months pregnant), eating alot, bloted, bowel and digestive problems, not sleeping well. And on top of that I have a cyst on my left ovary which can no longer be ditected due to one of my fiboids blocking it. It just got much larger. I am having major discomfort, pain and spoting(7 days last month) 2 weeks right after my menses.

So I have decided to call back the second surgeon I saw and schedule the procedure for Monday August 20th in the morning. My concern is why am I having pregnancy symptons and why do I look like I am 7 months pregnant. Has anyone else experience this?

I get fatigued/tired, Nausea/Morning Sickness, swollen/tender breast, backaches and I am either hungry all the time or do not feel like eating, cranky and feeling horrible. I always feel full even after a bowel movement.

I am very worried and concerned. I am also scared about the surgery although the surgeon is one of the very best in my state.

Re: Two large fibroids and a cyst on my ovary, need advice

Hi Divi - I have a large ovarian cyst and an enlarged uterus due to fibroids and I have many of the same symptoms as you do. I'm not sure why but I'm looking forward to being done with it. I wish you the best of luck in your surgery and recovery. This is a great site for preparing and getting lots of support.

Hi...

I only had one fibroid, but I had very similar symptoms to what you describe. I felt just like I did when I was first pregnant, like I had morning sickness all the time.

Sending you lots of good thoughts for surgery, and the weeks leading up to it.

Peace,
M

Re: Two large fibroids and a cyst on my ovary, need advice

So Sorry you are dealing with this. I had a large Fibroid and cyst on overy for a while but pain and back ache were getting to be to much, then one day my uterus prolapse and Dr said hysterectomy time. I am 49 and done with kids so was a no brainier. As far as surgery to me it was worth it I would do it again. Just dealing with a minor hematoma that formed and will have drained if it doesn't go down. Only you can make the right decision for you. GOOD LUCK HUGS....
