Letting off some steam

Wow, it seems like a lot of us have gotten some frustrating news this week.
I took my fiance in for his surgery this morning, only to find out they've put off the surgery until September.

Not only do I feel bad that he's got to go through the presurgery anxiety again and the sudden news of possible cancer but we had this scheduled so carefully. With surgery today, I had almost a week to take care of him before my surgery. Then I had just enough healing time before an interstate drive we need to make the last week of september for my soon-to-be stepson. Now we are both going to be recovering at the same time. Plus, any complications with his surgery could interfere with the trip. It would be one thing if I had to stay home due to complications but he has to make the trip and it can't be rescheduled.

I know these things happen and all will be fine...but a good griping session to people who understand really helps!

Re: Letting off some steam

That really stinks. You worked so hard to have everything work at the right time Somehow things usually manage to work out okay, but it can be so frustrating.

Perhaps you and your fiance can find some time this week to do something special together that will help you focus on the relationship that will last long beyond this temporary glitch.

Re: Letting off some steam

Thanks for all the support. I'm feeling a little better about it now.

Of course, I've also enlisted at least 6 people to check on my fiance while I am in the hospital!

Re: Letting off some steam

Well that's some good news! I haven't had a good week either. My 7 yr son spilled soup in his lap and has 2nd degree burns. I feel so bad for him. It has kept me from worrying about my surgery but I worry about him while I am at the castle. My mom will be with him since my husband wants to stay at the castle with me.
