Re: Signing my Paperwork on Monday

I wanted to add that thru the course of wearing my catheter the bag filled completely two times and was half full when it was all taken away. That's a LOT of urine and would've had me going to the bathroom quite often. I wasn't even given anything to drink until the late in the evening of my surgery, so most of that was from the IV. Yep, I was definitely grateful for it.

Re: Signing my Paperwork on Monday

I like many of the others who posted had mine inserted after I was under. I had my surgery on Wed. and the cath was removed on Thurs. I had bladder surgery and a history of a lazy bladder so I wanted mine out ASAP so I could get my bladder working. The nurses took it out and there wasn't really any pain. You can feel them pulling it out, but it was a minor pressure. Just something I could feel and it last only seconds. They took the packing gauze out and then the catheter and then I was good to go...literally.
