Surgery Postponed

Well I got a call today from the Dr's office. I had warned them that it would be more difficult to type my blood. They kept telling me it would not be a problem. Well guess what it is. So now I have to wait til tomorrow to see if it will be rescheduled for the 24th.

I had to leave work early to have more blood drawn so that they can cross type my blood. I now have 2 bracelets in the glove box to bring on the day of surgery.

Hope they get it sorted out soon. It is terrible just waiting and not knowing. Good luck with it all! Keep us posted. Hugs!

Well just got off the phone with the Nurse and surgery is now scheduled for 8/24. So only postponed by one week.

I know how you feel havin your surgery postponed is not nice. I was at the hospital with the intervenis in and all dresses in the gown and lovely stocking and the doctor came in and informed me that there was to many emergancy C-sections that needed to be done and I was not going to be able to be done. My surgery was postponed 5wks before they could fit me in again.
Tomorrow will come fast and it will be all over with, on your way to healing.

OMG I can not imagine having to wait 5 weeks.

Well it looks like surgery could be postponed again. Got a call from the blood bank and they are still running into problems with cross typing. The lab in St Paul MN is trying to come up with a solution so that surgery does not have to be postponed. May be donating a double unit of my own blood tomorrow morning if my hemoglobin is high enough.

Prayers are very much appreciated as this is a really stressful time.
