large mass to be removed

I am due to have a large mass that is growing on my left ovary removed next week. It was 22cm and still growing as of 3 weeks ago. My tummy is really distended to the point all my clothes now don't fit me.

I was wondering if anyone has had a mass large enough to make their tummy stick out and did your tummy go down straight after the surgery? Also - how much do these things weigh? Mine feels very heavy now

large mass to be removed

Yes, I had a large mass on my left ovary 10 years ago. It was 20cm X 30cm and almost 3 pounds. It was a mucinous cystadenoma. My stomach did stick out from it. After surgery, my stomach went back to normal size, after the gas and swelling went away.

I wish you the best and keep us posted on your recovery.

thankyou for telling me that beachlady - I feel so relieved. I've been reading about everyone feeling their tummy is more bloated or swollen afterwards and I have been stressing out. I can't wait to get this fixed - 6 more days.
