Hysterectomy 4/8: Hospital screwed up majorly with my pre-op videos to watch! (children mentioned)!

So < > is the hospital I am having it at which is a good hospital no complaints there.
They always are good about sending these videos to watch through your email about your upcoming procedure. Well I got Five videos all about Child Birthing!!!!

I know it's a mistake and a screw-up I don't want kids. But I'm heartbroken in the weird cruel irony of this! I am having something where I will never reproduce again and that's okay. However what if they had sent this to somebody who wanted kids that, had to have a hysterectomy??!!


I'm calling first thing in the morning letting them know the screw-up!

Awe Lisa I'm sorry that happened to you. You have all the right in the world to complain. That is a horrible mistake and someone should be more careful about these mailings. I wish you the best on your upcoming surgery and a speedy recovery ...

Gesh. I bet that person felt awful if they realized it. There was a newborn I'm the waiting room before I went in for surgery. I wasn't going to have more kids anyway but I really started crying. Then I stayed on the maternity floor after surgery. Only saw one baby tho (very quiet night) but it didn't really bother me. Stood and watched it thru the window for a bit. Probably looked creepy LOL!! But yea, I felt bad for anyone else who would have been saddened by recovering on that floor.

Omg!! Was anyone there using their head ??? I think not!

Wow! That is horrible! Before I considered having a Hysterectomy I always thought people knew of it's sensitive nature outside of the ones needing it done. I'm starting to have that bubble burst in some aspects.

I know, we have enough stress at pre-op time. Someone in my doctor's office messed up when they sent my pre-op papers, instead of giving me the "handout" for hospital stay, I received the one for outpatient.
I called them, and the woman immediately owned it and apologized and I got the correct one.
We are trying to focus on what is ahead and be precise, so when others make such mistakes it is upsetting.
Take a deep breath, and make the call and ask for the correct videos.
So sorry for the added stress that you don't need at this point.
