Hospital sponsored prep class for surgery (long post, had to vent a little)
Good Evening Ladies,
I just received a wonderful telephone call from the Castle! They sponsor a free class to help prepare for my hysterectomy.
They offer a tour of the OR, Recovery, and rooms where I will be staying.
The chance to meet and get to know my nurse.
Learn what to do to prepare for my surgery.
Ask questions in a women friendly environment.
I am amazed that they actually offer something like this! I truly feel like a Lady in Waiting now!
Even though I am confident that there will be no complications with my surgery and recovery, I still find myself stressing out. As with the extreme PMS, I don't realize I am stressed until it is way to late and I have hurt someone's feelings. There are days I wish I could stay locked in my room and avoid my family and the world.
Today I came so close to becoming physically abusive to a co-worker, and it was something I did not want to do. For the last few weeks she has been sporting this "I'm perfect, the world and this job are all about me" attitudes. To tell you the truth it is bothering me severely! There are others that I work with who are expressing the same feelings towards her attitude lately so I know it isn't just me. But I had to take a walk and talk myself out of doing something that I knew I would regret!
Ok so I have vented enough, Has anyone else received a chance to take a class to prepare for their surgery?

Hospital sponsored prep class for surgery (long post, had to vent a little)
Hi Kelly!
I feel that you are so fortunate to have the opportunity to take a "hysterectomy class!" I wish I had been offered this chance for learning about what was in store for me. I was "clueless" before my surgery (I hadn't discovered Hystersisters.com yet!) and all I really knew was that I would be discharged from the hospital three days later sans uterus and ovaries.
Take advantage to learn whatever pertinent information you can prior to your surgery. I'm sending many positive thoughts your way for a successful surgery and uneventful recovery.
s and Best Wishes,

There was a problem with the scheduling, the class was postponed until next week. I will check back after the class.
