Good songs for the ipod?
I just thought of a fun thread. I read somewhere that taking an ipod to the castle is a great way to boost (or relax) yourself, mentally. What are some good songs to put on there?
These are the ones I have so far:
I Will Survive
Eye of the Tiger
Breakaway
Any other ideas?

Good songs for the ipod?
What kind of music do you like?
How about:
I am Woman (hear me roar!)
RESPECT
If you can put video on your IPOD, I suggest getting some episodes of The Office - that show is a HOOT.

Good songs for the ipod?
That is a GREAT idea, I would have never thought of that.... I am going to load mine up and take it with me......You are a genious!! I am personally going to load mine with upbeat and dare I say sexy songs. Sexy because during this entire process of premature menoupause, I have felt old. I feel like I am aging before my time and I am doing things to make myself feel young and sexy again. I am only 33. I know I may not feel sexy while on the recovery bed, hair gone wild, breath smelling bad, and in and out of reality but I can at least imagine myself that way!!

Good songs for the ipod?
I know how much music affects my moods. I'm with ya on the wanting to feel young and sexy even though I'll be sportin' granny panties, an abdominal incision, and an Rx for HRT! Too funny. We HAVE to keep each other laughing though this to keep the spirits up.
I thought of a few more:
These Boots are made for walkin'
The authority song (John Mellencamp's version)
U2's Vertigo

relaxing music
Hi Bono, I have other song ideas: for something relaxing, maybe some yoga music or the Titanic soundtrack, or some of the Grey's Anatomy songs like: Breathe 2 am by Anna Nalick, How to Save A Life by the Fray, and Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol Fets...just to name a few...can't you tell I'm a Grey's freak! lol; There's another that comes to mind, Tonight and the rest of my life by Nina Gordon.
Those are some relaxing sound choices if you want to go that route too! Thanks for bringing this issue up, I'll put my Ipod on my list!
big s !
Bono, I didn't see when your surgery is, or did you already have it?

Good songs for the ipod?
I bought an MP3 player just for the trip to the castle. I have loaded it up with all of our music, but I am sure that I will probably listen to a lot of the "Jazz" that I have in the very eclectic collection of music. A little Nina Simone, Harry Connick, Michael Buble and such to keep me calm in the hospital. Then once I am feeling better I might start in on the 80's hair band and classic rock to liven things up and lift my spirits. Or maybe some German speed metal. Who knows.
God, a week from now I will be actually doing this. Where has the last month gone?

That's awesome, I forgot about how relaxing jazz and folks like Michael Buble can be. Weirdly, I'm actually not dreading the castle stay that much time time. Last time (I had a laparatomy and was in there for 4 days), I watched Nick at Nite all night, which was not the best for my morale!
Suz-- I haven't received my official hyst date yet. The nurse called this morning and told me they're having a hard time fitting me in. It's either 8/30 or 9/11, but they haven't told me yet! I'm waiting to find out how long I have to wait. Lots of time to perfect the ipod lineup.
