LAVH: Flip flopping

One moment I can't wait the 17 days till surgery with pain, uncomfort ad exhaustion constantly nagging never mind the mood swings (not sure if it's related but probably lol) to fear of the unknown I've never had surgery of any kind, will I be allergic to the meds? Hard to wake up? Will I regret having a hysterectomy? Ugh I wish I could fast forward the next 21/2 weeks :/

All of your emotions, fears, nerves, and freakouts are very normal. It is one tough surgery to face. It is hard to deal with all of the unknowns as well.

I know it is scary having surgery - my TAH BSO was my fourth surgery but my first MAJOR SURGERY. The doctors and nurses will take very good care of you, they will watch over you, and they will see you through this. At no other time will you be under the watchful eye of so many highly trained professional people. And the anesthetics they use today are so much better than they were even 10 years ago.

Always remember that you are not alone in this.... we are just a few mouse clicks away.
