I can feel my insides!!!!

My kids had a school program last night and I was hurting. It was worse than ever. I made it through the school program. I came home like I was in labor.I hurt really bad. While I was on the toilet I decided to feel of myself because I feel as if things are coming out. I can feel my cervix! I can
feel the knots on it and I can touch the bottom of my uterus!!! I went to
the hospital because I hurt so bad. They examined me,took a cath urine
sample and gave me 2 shots of demerol. I do not have any infections
but he thinks I must have one somewhere inside of me because I am
swelled so big and have a lowgrade fever. He gave me 4 antibiotic pills.
I guess I got one mega dose because he didnt send me home with any.
He said he thinks it is my bladder falling and pressing on everything
but since I have a appointment with a specialist he felt like they were
better trained to make a diagnosis. He sent me home with enough pain
meds to make it till I see my dr. tuesday. Needless to say I am now off
work till after then. I am scared to death that my dr on tue will not do anything. The er dr didnt really let on like it was a big deal that I can touch the bottom of my uterus with a finger. Someone please tell me that I should not be able to feel this. I know this is what I feel. The cervix feels like a doughnut. It just seems unlikely that my bladder can be causing all of my insides to fall. I guess not being a dr I cant say for sure that it is impossible.

I can feel my insides!!!!

Hi Lesa,

My bladder was prolapsed to the point of being at the very edge of the vaginal opening. I asked my dr if it was the uterus and he said the uterus was prolapsed, too, but it was the bladder that was most prominent. Both my bladder and rectum were starting to drop along with the uterus. Everything was falling down.

When the pelvic floor muscles weaked, it can cause all these organs to head south. I waited years to have surgery but am so glad I went ahead with it as it has been the best thing I've ever done.

Surely your dr will give you some good advice on Tues. Try to stay calm till then (easier said than done, I know). Hang in there and keep us posted on what he tells you.

Blessings,

I can feel my insides!!!!

sounds like youre dealing with a prolapse (either uterine, rectal, bladder, bowel, or all of the above)...even though its very traumatic to go through mentally, its not a life threatening problem...your GYN will be able to diagnose this with a simple pelvic exam and will be able to offer you treatment options....until you can get in to see your dr try to stay off your feet as much as possible..keeping your feet/legs elevated while resting will help things to fall back into place.

I can feel my insides!!!!

I had a friend whos cervix came out of her. She trapped a towel between her legs to help keep it in place. She was scared back then but know she can joke about it. Her words--not mine but funny, "Sometime I just fall to pieces." Luckly, she got her self all back together and is doing just fine.
