Two More Days - Gas X Question

I've noticed that alot of you talk about using Gas X and I did buy some for my TVH on Jan 9th, but I was wondering if you take it while at the hospital or do you wait until you get home? Do you have to check with the nurses before taking it? Only two more days to go and I'm getting very nervous. This is consuming me. I woke up with anxiety last night and had a horrible dream the other night that it was the end of the world. Good news is that my DH and I got the house ready today. I was planning on changing my bed sheets tomorrow and my husband said he'll do it the day before I come home so they'll be as fresh as can be. What a guy! Wish me luck.

Two More Days - Gas X Question

I left my Gas-X at home (hospital said don't bring) but I took peppermint tea bags as I sipped on that as soon as I was allowed. I found having that when I ate helped stop the gas before it started.

Two More Days - Gas X Question

Hi Flower....I think we started to email back and forth before...but I got a ton of emails and can't remember. I too go in on the 9th. Everytime I start to think about it I start to cry! So far I have not had an anxiety attack (which is unusual for me). I have been thinking about the gas x too and think that maybe tomorrow I will go out and get some. What time is your surgery at? I just found out that mine is at 7:30 am and I have to be there by 6:30...thank goodness my daycare opens at 6am...LOL I wish you all the luck in the world! And I hope to talk to you soon.

Two More Days - Gas X Question

I have been reading a lot of posts also about Gas-X. This is a stupid question, but why do we have so much gas after the surgery or is it lack thereof?

Two More Days - Gas X Question

Gas X comes in several forms. Sometimes gas gets trapped and builds up. This can be very uncomfortable. Gas X, as well as other antigas products, helps releave the pressure. Someone mentioned strips that melt on your tongue. I'm going to try those at the hospital.
