What size "Big panties"

I found ultra soft cotton maternity panties at Target. They were perfect for me. And I didn't really have to buy them that big...just my normal size. There was a lot of extra looseness in the front for me. Mine were very comfortable.

I bought Hanes Her Way in my size and they worked just fine. BUT I also used the net like panties from the hospital for the first two weeks. I asked for an extra pair to take home and my husband just threw them in and washed them. They wash up really good enen though they are disposable. These are so comfortable after surgery. I also used them after I had my children.

I am 3 weeks post-op now, but posted this same question before my surgery. I just went to Wal-Mart and bought the cheapest (88 cents) underwear. I bought my "size 7" but in BRIEFS instead of bikini cut or high cut style. They are bigger in the waist so they don't tend to rub on the incision. Since they were cheap, I won't feel bad throwing them away when I am done with the swelly belly. Also the mesh ones they give you in the hospital will work fine until you get home.

A hyster-sister recommended those undies with the light tummy control for post op as she felt she needed the support due to feeling like everything was falling out?? I bought some, and tried it out once. I never felt what she felt. I had incisional tenderness but my undies didn't aggravate it. My insides felt like they were in the right place. My own regular undies were the best. I wear ladies Jockey brand hipsters or french cut. I had a bikini incision. No increase in size required!
