I am sending you and best wishes for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery as you head off to the hospital.

I will be joining you in the Post Op Forum as your Sunshine Sister in the weekly Recovery Progress thread for members having surgery between May 5 - 11. I will be there to offer support and encouragement on your recovery journey. Look for it at the top of the Post-Op Forum after your surgery.

A few things I found very helpful for my initial recovery:
· Stool softener
· Gas X
· Moist wipes rather than toilet tissue
· Heating pad
· Pillow pet / Body pillow
· Chapstick
· Notepad and pen (for keeping track of medications)

What do all these abbreviations mean? Abbreviations

Deep breaths, you can do this! The nerves can be really overwhelming. Try to keep busy, clean the house (you won’t be doing it again for a while!), cook and freeze meals, get out of the house and enjoy your family. Take quiet time for yourself, enjoy a bath (you won’t be able to do that for a while either) and stock up on movies and books for your recovery.

Remember rule number 1 is to "Pamper the Princess"!
