Surgery postponed very Mad!!!!

I am so mad and I'm sorry but I need to vent. I originally had surgery scheduled for Nov. 13. Then because of an emergency they had to reschedule me for Nov.18. Now I got a call this morning they have to reschedule me for Nov. 25. I am psyched out for this surgery , have my room ready, dh took off from work, found someone to watch kids, bought a drawer full of stool softeners, ordered tgiving dinner from grocery store etc. I called dr office to complain and they said the dr never was scheduled in or on nov.18. Apparently surgery scheduling made a mistake and is trying to cover her rear end by saying an emergency came up. I am so frustrated. How can I trust her again after one lie possibly 2? How many more times can I prepare for this surgery? Has anyone else had this problem? Oh, the disadvantages of large HMO's.

I had the same problems. I was supposed to have surgery last month on the 26th and then come to find out the nurse told them the 17th of this month. I was so upset.

Ladies, I really do feel for you.

I know how stressful it is preparing for surgery and, to do it more than once, must just be awful :-(

But hang in there, you will soon be on the post op side feeling so much better.

I would be livid! I'm so sorry that you have to wait. I feel for you. At least the date is not that far away. It will be here before you know it. Enjoy your pre-ordered Thanksgiving meal and postpone the babysitter a few weeks. Try to breathe and relax a while longer

I am so sorry that they posponed your surgery I can only imagine how frustrating it must be. I would call them every 2-3 days just to confirm the date. I pray that your husband can post-pone his vacation without any problems and your babysitter can still watch your kids.
take a deep breath and think that sometimes things happen for a reason, think positive and have faith.

Oh, I'd be spitting nails. I'm really sorry you are having to deal with this sort of frustration. It's not fair.
